Or thread them through from inside.. And secure the ends with glue on the inside. A large eyed needle will work great for threading them

Ive just taken delivery of my latest item and thought id share.. Its pretty cool (well i think it is lol) and you cant buy them in stores! Im always on the look out for crew/production items from muppets films and this tshirt was a gift to crew members from MMW.

They are cut from black electrical tape. I find a photo of kermits eyes and print them up actual size. Then i stick some tape on the back of the photo behind the pupil and just cut it out. Then peel the tape off and sticknit on my eye :-)

PMS 375 is the correct colour for the body. His eyes are 35mm dome eyes.

Chairs like the ones in your photo dont have seats. The camera angle gives the illusion the characters are sitting on somthing. For wider shots like here- It is exactly as you described. A sofa with a hole in it with the performer under/inside it.

Yea body shape was an area i struggled with! There is a collar pattern online if you google it.. I just printed that on A4 without adjusting the size atall. If it helps, the neck is a bit of a squeeze to get your hand through but sits snug on the wrist. Its great to enable indipendant movement...

Yea the eyes are the same size as all my previous ones. The pupils are slightly different.

Hiya :-) If your just starting out, maybe start with upholstery foam.. (The blue stuff) its a lot cheaper and more readilly available at most fabric/upholstery stores. You can get a sheet of half inch stuff for a few quid. As for mouthplates.. I use these for rigid mouths :-)...

Thanks for the compliments :-) Sorry, im Not sharing this pattern. I have put a LOT of work into getting this far. As those who have seen my previous posts will tell you. I started out with the MR pattern if that helps as a starting block :-)

Thanks :-) There were lots of little things that kept bugging me about each one.. The eyes were one of them! For a simple puppet he is soo frustrating :-)
