Actually we were doing a little late night errand-running last night, and passed a guy selling Nanco Carnival plushes on a street corner. He was selling the large Muppets for $10 each. We were able to snag a Kermit, Gonzo and Rizzo. He is going to see if he can get the huge ones, and let me know.
I picked up the Laserlight version at a local Grocery store last week, It is catalog #12761 and it DOES have both of those songs on it.
It was a FRYS grocery store, which is owned by Krogers.
I ordered one on Sunday, when they first showed up, and got it today.
It is the real deal, a 20 year old first edition.
Very cool, I might get another one as a spare, if they are still around on payday.
Cool, I was not aware of this. I have seen some stuff that was shot in 1.33:1 and they actually crop the top and bottom to make it look widescreen.
I am sure someday we will see this widescreen. Do you know what the aspect ratio of this was originally?
That would fall under the Pretty much anything that has a high demand, but is not announced for release. catagory
Pan and scan is when they adapt the picture to fill a 1:33 standard television screen. The movie was shot in this aspect ratio, so it would have to be the same as you saw...
Bunches of Disney stuff have this status, as does Ed Wood (The Only Tim Burton movie not on DVD).
Pretty much anything that has a high demand, but is not announced for release.
Got Harry, Fozzie and Gonzo at a comic shop in Mesa AZ on Wed.
Floyd was all gone!
Gonna brave the mall tomorrow (got a 25% off any item coupon for Suncoast) hope they got 'em.
Actually they are not for a specific amount. I went in and got the Animal, the Kermit and the Jack Skellington...
I just had them do each one for $5.00.
Then I just used the three of them for a Muppet Wrist watch ($14.95!)
and keep the cards!
About a million years ago (actually more like 20) I had to write a paper about this very topic for a college Psych class.
Then I listed the three influences I chose were
Jim Henson / Ernie
Shel Silverstein
Foghorn Leghorn
I don't recon the list has changed too much, though I do dread...
OK, Let's....... Since that is a contraction of the two words
LET
US
I will suggest you go first, you put them on the shelves, I am sure plenty of folks would buy them from you.
Some stores have had them for a couple of weeks. The fact they are not in your area would rest squarely on the...
Have never seen a Fozzie at Target or Walmart.
I can only assume there is some legal issues with the driver (all the licensing is through him, not Henson).
