The other day work was dead, probably because folks are still recovering from holiday spending and can't afford fast food, so I was wandering around the kitchen, finding things to clean and humming "Follow Me."
My boyfriend bought me Futurama Vol. 5. I also redeemed my Disney Movie Rewards points last month for DuckTales the Movie, which arrived in the mail today.
I had an urge tonight to look up some old cartoons I remember seeing as a kid. One of these was Bump in the Night. Anyone remember this claymated masterpiece of Saturday morning entertainment?
After watching a couple episodes, I happened to look it up on Wikipedia and saw it mentioned that...
A few months ago I introduced my brothers to Fraggle Rock. When I first told them what the show was and what it was about, they told me it sounded stupid. Then they watched the first episode and asked to watch more. We watched the entire first disc of the Season 1 set in one sitting. They...
I have a few PETA related questions for any who would know.
What are PETA's thoughts on human cannibalism? I've read that they find no problem with it, and some say they support it.
Does PETA have any gripes about non-humans eating other non-humans, like that group of hippies in Futurama...
Living things eat other living things. It's a sad fact. Humans were made to eat meat, that's why we have the teeth for it. I was taught to believe that one of the reasons God gave us animals was for food, but in return we're to also respect them. It's possible to eat an animal and still respect...
I've had a few Fraggle Rock characters pop up in my dreams ever since I started rewatching the series on The Hub. I remember one involved finding Wembley in the clothes dryer. Junior Gorg was also in one, but I unfortunately don't remember much besides that.
I got one of those clocks. There were only two there, and though I already have a clock in my room, I got it anyway. The two Doozers on the hands sometimes get stuck together when they pass each other, though.
The only thing I watch on Disney Channel anymore is Phineas and Ferb. I can't stand Hanna Montana or Suite Life or any of those shows. They're not funny, they're not entertaining, I can't understand why people like them enough to give them the ratings needed to stay on the air.
They should...
Peru, Illinois. They had a ton of Muppet things there, but mainly Sesame Street. I really wanted this Oscar the Grouch plush backpack they had there, but I was shopping with my mother and she'd have made a fuss about me buying what she considers "baby things."
Hero 108 is a pretty good cartoon from what I've seen of it. It comes on at 8 AM central, and even when it was new it came on early in the morning rather than airing during prime time like something like Adventure Time. I've yet to see a commercial for the show either.
I recommend anyone who...
Just got back from the mall. With my JCPenny's gift card I bought a nice, fluffy robe and four pairs of winter pajamas.
With my $50 I went to Spencer's and bought two Sesame Street shirts, Kermit socks, a Fraggle Rock decorative wall clock, and Muppet panties!
Beauty and the Beast - needed for my Disney collection
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
So I Married an Ax Murderer
Wayne's World
Kung Fu Panda
^ Because they're all good movies in my opinion
I got in some gifts from my boyfriend today. He got me an Agent P shirt and a shirt with GIR and tacos on it. He's also going to get me something else but can't decide between an SNES game, a Fraggle plush, or Futurama Vol. 5.
I also got a picture holder in the shape of an "A" from work (A for...
When I was younger, my mom used to make my brother and I decide which gift the other would get to open next. I guess that was kind of like a game. My brother's moved out and I only get money instead of presents these days, so we don't get to do that anymore. :(
I haven't read this whole thread and I'm sure it's been said already, but I'd like to see Kermit on The Daily Show again talking about the movie, or maybe on the Colbert Report.
My parents gave me a card with $50 in it. Not sure what I'm gonna spend it on just yet. Probably a few Muppet things. I should lay off on buy video games until I beat a few of the ones I already have.
They also got me one of those Bark Off things since my dog has this issue with doors and...
The ending to Muppet Family Christmas made me get teary eyed. Seeing all the characters from The Muppet Show, Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock all together and singing was just so awesome. Then when Jim appeared at the end saying that he likes it when they all have a good time, the tears started...
I went on a mini shopping spree tonight and bought myself a bunch of DVDs as Christmas presents to myself, since my boyfriend is the only one who gets me gifts. Everyone else says I'm too old for Christmas...
A Bug's Life - The only Pixar movie I didn't have.
Princess and the Frog - I've been...
I got Gobo in the mail today. I like him, but I think the Wembley plush looks a little better, or maybe I'm biased because he's my favorite character. Gobo seems to be a little bigger than Wembley, which makes sense since the real Gobo is bigger. Hopefully this means Mokey is bigger than Gobo so...
