Luke,
Thanks for your point.
However this is where I said that it is impossible to argue the point of not viewing an item with no picture as someone who does show a picture is just as likely to rip you off.
Who is to say:
1/ The picture does show everything clearly.
2/ It is the...
Michael,
I do agree that a picture is an advantage.
However, lets say you were looking for a Star Wars poster you always wanted and was a 1979 original. Some guy listed it with no picture. It turns out that this was the real deal, feedback was great and item turned out to be prerfect...
Ken, My comments on that side were more directed to MM-III who implied that there was something sketchy about not showing pictures. In my eyes that is a reference to integrity and honesty surely you must agree! Sketchy is a word implying something is untoward!
I agree that in your post that...
Can I just point out to Ken and MM-III that I am VERY unhappy with you.
Just beacuse someone does not have a photo does not mean that they are dishonest or their goods are poor.
I have no scanner but have conducted 100's of auctions. It is about integrity. If someone is going to screw you...
Morning to all!
First to clarify - Jakks DID used to make a VERY large amount of exclusives however they have toned down. But now of course you have the problem that they are flooding the market. apparently Jakks took on a very aggresive brand manager. Thsi is now the problem there are so...
brutus - Welcome to the board and thanks for your post! To be honest i am not that bothered about figures being split just that some are playset only. As I said I would love to get into the line but so much is against me - exclusives, playsets etc. I do agree Piggy could have been better it is...
frogboy 4 - Thank you for the welcome - I am glad to join. Your comments are a great insight and help! Your suggestion may be the best - I think I should look at collecting them but reside to the fact I should just get one of each character. I do like the playsets and know from a marketing point...
Thanks everyone for contributing to the thread - much appreciated.
I must point out that I do find the playsets cool but I would rather have the figures. The fact taht they talk is great and provides plenty of amusement but does not bother me that much!
I do like to keep thing in packages...
Whilst I agree that the characters coming out are not that well known the sculpting is brilliant.
Also in my case as a massive fan it is exciting to see these characters who have smaller roles. Who ever thought we would see a figure of Chalmers!
You see thats the problem with having an...
Dr Tooth - Yep I am mad! Maybe as I am not a huge Muppets fan I should just collect the ones I like or at least the normal figures. At the moment to have a full set you have to be one of 400 people or something like that!
Also another question for anybody is how do you feel about the...
Concerns!
radionate - Wow you might be my long lost twin! I too have collected anything and everything since I was a little nipper! Collecting does give you a good feeling and it is always great to look over your collections. I too have had to sell some of my collections or scale down as I was...
Concerns
Thanks all for your replies.
Warrick - As far as numbers I was under the impression that the Kermit in a box & Dr Tetth were made in a quantity of something like 300/400 respectively.
radionate - I take no offence to anyone and really appreciate your reply. You are very correct...
Concerns!
Warrick,
Thanks for the reply - much appreciated!
As for being a Muppet completist as far as I see it there can only be 300 - 400 possible! It is a nice title to have but involves money and effort.
I know the Kermit and Dr Teeth figures are the same but I like the variations...
Hi to all as I am a new member.
I felt I needed to register and start a thread to voice a concern I have.
I know this has been covered in other threads but felt I would like to know personal peoples opinions on my situation. I would also very much welcome a reply from Ken.
I would love...
