    Fraggle Rock Fanart doodles

Aww, I love how Robin's mouth is open ever so slightly. And the angle that you drew his head adds to the expression.

Toy Story 3 Teaser Trailer released

Hmm... I don't know if this is so much a spoiler, but I'll give a spoiler warning anyway for those who don't want to know. Apparently, Andy has grown up and gone off to college and the toys are donated to a day care center. Okay, that's not really a plot as much as a situation, but I'm...

    Muppet Vision 3D question

Thanks for the reply! I was thinking that the preshow was done after Jim's passing as (like you said) none of his characters are in it. I wonder how much of the theater design and the props in the preshow area and the design of the outside of the building Jim oversaw. I'm sure it was mostly out...

The what shows do you miss that you wish were around thread?

Well, this sort of goes without saying on a Muppet forum, but I wish The Muppet Show could have gone on longer. Of course, I understand the reasons it didn't as far as Jim wanting to move on to other things, but TMS is an example of the kind of entertainment that has become all but extinct in...

    Up discussion (Possible spoilers)

It really was a great film. It had it's moments that seemed like they were put in to please the kiddies, but it also had some great visual metaphors and deep character study, I really do think Pixar films should be required viewing for film students or any sort of major that relies on writing...

R.I.P. Millvina Dean, Last of the Titanic's Survivors

Really? I don't remember hearing about that. What a shame that it is all too often these events are often mere footnotes lost to history.

    Muppet Vision 3D question

I read this in Jim Henson: The Works on page 225.The quote said "... the movie was almost complete at the time of his death." I guess it could be they have their facts wrong and I'm just reading too much into the quote, but the attraction didn't open until about a year after his passing, I think.

R.I.P. Millvina Dean, Last of the Titanic's Survivors

I heard about that list night on the news. It's really sad, but I hope she had a happy life. It sort of seems like the end of an era.

Toy Story 3 Teaser Trailer released

I like how the trailer hits on the "old versus new" theme that was a big part of the first film. It's a cute teaser.

    Up discussion (Possible spoilers)

I didn't see a thread for this so I thought I'd start one. I saw this movie on Friday and I admit, I've just been thinking about it since then. Pixar has the uncanny ability to create marvelous films I just can't get out of my head. Who else has seen it and what did you think of it?

Who's Your Favorite/Least Favorite TMS Character?

I think that part of the problem with Annie Sue and Miss Mousey are that they are one note characters that weren't really developed much past being an unknowing foil for Miss Piggy. For Annie Sue, it's a huge shame because she was perhaps Louise Gold's most prominent character. I think she...

    The Baby Gonzo appreciation thread

Baby Gonzo has always been my favorite of the Muppet Babies. In many ways, he's a representation of the Gonzo I am most comfortable with... The outgoing, crazy blue weirdo. There are so many really classic Baby Gonzo scenes. One of my particular favorites is in the episode Faster Than A...

Toys R Us to buy FAO (and the Whatnot Workshop)

I saw this mentioned on the local news. The first thing I thought was "How is this going to effect the Whatnot Workshop?" I'm really curious about it. I haven't made a whatnot yet myself.

Your Thoughts: The Muppet Show Comic Book

That's a lovely cover! I especially love the color scheme and the poses. I have yet to get the first comic yet, though I think that there will be a Boom! Studios booth at an upcoming comic convention I am going to. I hope they have copies there.

    Muppet Vision 3D question

I have a feeling that this question has been asked here before, but I can't find it if it has. I remember reading that Muppet Vision 3D was not complete at the time of Jim Henson's passing. My question is, what parts were done after his passing? I assume that the theater/queue wasn't complete...

Steve's Muppets: A Recipe for Pain?

Another thing to consider as far as Rizzo goes, he hangs out with Gonzo. That alone would set his insurance rates sky high. ;)

Steve's Muppets: A Recipe for Pain?

I get what you mean. Perhaps it's a part of his style? The Muppets have always relied on "cartoon" violence through characters being eaten, blown up, having things dropped on their heads, (the list goes on), but maybe that's just something that Steve decided to go on and take further? Sort of...

Who's Your Favorite/Least Favorite TMS Character?

Yeah, but he's a part of the same universe. So it fits. And I agree with you about Randy and Andy. I was never crazy about them

"Gee, I wish I were you people..."

Dark Heart was pretty interesting and the movie itself wasn't horrible... but that scene is really ridiculous. :coy: It's the whole awkward character/audience interaction that really gets me. Care Bears is not Dora or Blues Clues and it shouldn't be. (Even if the movie did come over a decade...
