I do think that there is a false idea out there with many people who haven't delved deeply into the Muppets that they always are goody goodies, if you will...
I'm not taking it personally or anything, I'm just saying that it was uncalled for to suddenly compare Google to Hitler when someone mentions the word...
The thing is that I doubt Jason Segel's Kermit thing was mean spirited, as Kermit wouldn't do that. I would imagine that it would take the same avenue he did in TMTM.
Yes, I agree. That really is one of the things that took the cake for me.
ABC does a lot better than a lot of places. They actually do their homework to pull out correct clips and info, and capture all aspects in the matter of seconds.
Yeah, that is good that they mentioned Jim.
I'm just so happy as to how well they covered the inspirational aspects of Kermit, between those quotes I mentioned, plus the Rainbow Connection, the people behind that special really know the essence of inspirational Muppets.
Yeah, any television the Muppets can get is good.
In a way I'm almost glad that Big Bird and Cookie didn't make the list...this way Kermit and Piggy couldn't be seen by non-fans as characters on Sesame Street as easily.
Did they really show Jim? I honestly completely missed that.
The clip of Sam and Friends was really a nice touch for me. I love how they spent time on the early years of Kermit there. And also I liked seeing Miss Piggy's appearance in the pilot, though if I'm not mistaken, they said that it...
I am glad that minor muppetz mentioned the part about that line, I actually hated it. It all seemed too staged, and once again I hate how close Kermit seems to Miss Piggy suddenly.
But still, it is a bit unnecessary to throw out Holocaust references like candy...that was a very tragic event in the lives of many people, and comparing something as petty as Google to it just seems so unnecessary...
Boy, we're all quoting our favorite lines from that, the two I mentioned really spoke out to me being the inspiration geek I am...(though I wish I had caught the woman's name who had the first quote, I guess I'll have to go back and look later.)
