Just to point out to others as it probably wasn't clear - Columbia Pictures were part of this RCA release so it makes it easy for Columbia Tristar to access them very easily again for DVD without having to do very much. Thats why I have a feeling we'll see these versions again but we'll see...
Yeah i'm 26 and I remember it right from its debut - Fulton McKay is the only human I remember as being part of Fraggle Rock. Obviously coming to MC I now know about Gerry Parkes but I never saw him or heard of him before that. By the time re-runs came around I was probably too old for it all...
Warrick, what makes you think they won't use McKay ? I would have thought being a UK release they would have. It's a nostalgia release and everybody growing up used to watch him, and he's quite a big name. If they are aiming this at the UK 'big kids' i'd have thought they would be...
There's lots of things that come into it. Sesame Workshop and Henson are two completely seperate companies each owning 100% of their own characters and shows so (technically) the Muppets and Sesame Muppets are now completely seperate of each other. In theory Kermit could do a guest appearance...
I doubt it. The disc was originally being worked on by Columbia for a late January/February release - the first thing they would have done in sorting out a Fraggle release was working out what would be on the disc. Then you have artwork to clear with Henson and the discs aren't exactly printed...
The special is a good idea, although Elmo hosting it when it's supposed to be also geared at the older fan too is a little dissapointing but then he is the logical choice seeing as they can't use Kermit. This parody thing makes me very uneasy. What the heck are they thinking making such...
Yeah they didn't need a license as Wiggy said. I think it's a great idea - it should be popular with both Indy and Muppet fans and selling it at the con's will obviously mean more of those kinda people will be there. As a figure it doesn't jazz me that much, it looks nice but Kermit is kinda a...
Virgin no longer does them, and i'm not sure whether Forbidden Planet does plush - not looked in a while. I remember that they had some Namco plush as prizes in the Trocadero arcades in London but not sure about if they still do. Sadly yeah, best bet is Ebay i think.
They have had initial plans for developing a Henson website providing more fan type information on appearances, shows and merchandise releases. The whisper was that this was the purpose of the company starting that fan mailing list during the anniversary and they'd use that to establish whether...
Any more news on the disc contents yet guys ?
From what I can work out Columbia hasn't applied to the BBFC for any new content ratings/certifications or anything (and they would have needed to by now) so that means they must be planning to put out some of the episodes they already released...

Nobody has mentioned this here so i assume it wasn't known about but I just discovered that apparently on December 7th as part of the Cinemagic fetival in Belfast, Ireland they showed 'Muppet Christmas Carol' and 'Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie' at the Warner Village Cinema (with Henson VP...
Although it looks like Camilla (same basic sculpt) from this unpainted photo the finished chicken will actually look slightly different and be called Bernice after one of Gonzo's other chicks often referred to. This is so that you can have different looking chickens in your collection if you are...
I'm not sure who either of the character sigs are but it doesn't matter really as none of the living Muppeteers sigs, either as characters or themselves are worth anything much as they still sign through the mail for free. However, they are vintage Henson 8x10 photographs from the early days...
Valentine - a loser ? With his money and background I really doubt it. It wasn't his fault all the financial people he wanted to back him decided in the end that Henson was a bad investment - and to be truthful it is. We are pretty lucky that even Jim's own kids jumped in despite this and...
