I love those commercials and all that stuff. Would it be completely illegal of me to suggest someone who could burn a VCD just happened to visit that site someday?
Best things about the screen test - PEPE-RONI!
Nah - it'd be MUCH more fun to see him THWACKED with the Rubber Chicken! I was so waiting for you to call in Kev to that Larry King show and say "Mr Eisner, Kevin Williams here and I have a rubber chicken beside me with your name on it!"
Actually Jim was being messed around by the Disney execs just as much as anyone is nowadays during those negotiations. He was AFAIK still intending to go through with the sale. He was more interested in the characters being able to live on through Disney's massive staying power than any little...
Yeah i would gather it means whatever of those movies the Henson Company actually owns. Basically Disney want ownership of ANYTHING Henson produced with a Muppet in it, hence purchasing some of those specials and the Muppet segments of JHH. They don't want anyone else to be able to show a...
At that price they are supposed to be made for adults AND kids not just kids. If they are gonna be cheap kiddie stuff they should price em that way. These are worth no more than $6 at most. I don't think we are being harsh at all.
Keep in mind that CTHE's distribution license with Henson runs out this year, they'll have to sign a new one just for FR to make any more DVD's. It's the reason why they are rushing so much Henson stuff out at the moment in the UK & States.
Great news about the disc, hope we get the...
Heck well i've got tons of experience from my past life as a costume rabbit - maybe i can get a gig as Sweetums? I wonder who you apply to if you want work as a big hairy monster.
From what i gather they are also retaining the Muppeteers. It's early days but it'll probably work out the same as Sesame hiring them for SS. Henson are the production company so it's upto them to hire the talent - same with the puppet workshop although i haven't heard that for sure...
You won't - it'll just be a project here and there and there'll probably be a twist to it - not just classic muppet shows in CGI. C'mon they didn't spend $60-$100 million to completely change the face of what people have loved about these characters for years. Sure they'll want to use new...
OMG we're doomed then ! ;) How can you judge the Muppets movie success on MFS? It was a fine movie but of course it didn't do well - it had little promotion, build up, backing like something such as "Toy Story" or "Finding Nemo". Nowadays if a movie isn't made by one of the top...
I thought it was pretty depressing actually. Yeah he says the Muppets are gonna be back in a big way, but did you see him gulp when asked if they would do a big theatrical movie? I guess the answer is no to that one for now.
I got the impression he thinks the Muppets are in a lot of trouble...
