I think a lot of it was that I thought that when you introduced yourself, I didn't know you could simply say something like "I'm Hubert, lifelong Muppet fan, my favorite Muppet is Beauregard," I thought you had to gush about all kinds of personal details about your location, your age...

I assume that it's mostly based on need. They'd like to stick to the original puppet roots of the show, but the stage show adaptation makes some characters almost impossible to use puppets for.

I think that some people are just content with reading, being too shy to post. Then others, such as me for a while, that just aren't accustomed to forums to the point where the idea of posting one is foreign. And then there are probably also kids who are guests who aren't allowed an account, so...
