    My Thoughts: Disney's Muppets

Of course Disney wants the Muppets to do well. They paid gazillions of dollars for them. Who wouldn't? It's more of whether they CAN do well, and how far Diz are prepared to go to make that happen (especially when they have other, much more in fashion brands and Pixar movies). The Muppets are...

    Muppets.com relaunches with Disney XD

It's soooooo wierd. Let me straight in this morning, directly from the link in this thread. There is a UK Disney XD but no Muppets.

    Muppets.com relaunches with Disney XD

Finally, yeah this is cool. All new and original Muppet stuff shot by the guys last Summer, and its BRILLIANT - the intro was cracking me up, haha. I think Diz have done well with the Muppets internet wise really - this is exactly how the Muppets should have been done on the net a long time...

    Master Replicas Gonzo Photo Puppet

I have seen him photographed from a distance, he does! I'm sure there are minor things (aside the nose) which could have been sorted, like Animal, but yeah MR are doing a great job and i would guess a lot of those problems are down to the factories not having experienced these sort of things...

    Master Replicas Gonzo Photo Puppet

So basically you're saying that Gonzo is ok as long as you look at him way across the room and use the other replicas to draw attention away from his less flattering bits. I dunno, i mean he does seem to look better from a distance, but i think even Master Replicas probably would have liked to...

Ask Travis: A Master Replicas Photo Puppet Q&A Thread

Totally, totally agreed. Infact i was gonna bring up this point after the weekend. If its a question of accuracy, i think the majority of people buying these would be fine going to about $500. The consumers are definitely seeing these as investment type products - and they are a steal at the...

Ask Travis: A Master Replicas Photo Puppet Q&A Thread

Totally understood Trav, and thanks for giving some insight on that. Yeah i guess for every fan here who'd treat em like a museum piece with a little light posing there's gonna be someone who takes it windsurfing or something. Obviously the fanboy in us or you wants them exact, but in our case...

Ask Travis: A Master Replicas Photo Puppet Q&A Thread

When puppets (or toys made from foam) break down they do only start to break down in random places. It's just the way they are, nothing has to be stacked on top of it. Unfortunate because as you can see, the rest of them can be fine for years and years - i would bet that Piggy head is 20 years...

    Master Replicas Gonzo Photo Puppet

Bada Bing, we have a winner! Yeah, totally with you here. It's the nose and the eyes that especially make Gonzo into "Gonzo" (the character), not a wierdo lifeless Muppet poser. What we have here is the wierdo lifeless Muppet poser .... now he may well get a lot better once people start...

    Your Thoughts: New Smilies

Ask Travis: A Master Replicas Photo Puppet Q&A Thread

Thanks for the answers, this is all very appreciated. - There was a lot of debate over whether Animal was supposed to come with collar and whether he should have had a mouth that closed (as it just looks technically wrong on the product - he has a mouth hinge but the tongues too big), and the...

Preliminary Thoughts on Master Replica's Fozzie Bear

I can agree there, an exact made to order Gonzo would be about $5,000 from a puppet builder so it is really a testament to what you are achieving for just a few hundred bucks. I would say though that seeing as you near enough managed for $300/$400 to nail Kermit, Animal and its looking like...

    My Thoughts: Disney's Muppets

I don't think a graphic novel would ever lead to a show, but yes other things are planned. As to whether they get as far as the screen, we'll see. I don't honestly think Henson just sold the Muppets to Disney because they thought they could use them better. Henson had been trying to offload...
