Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I think the Fraggles did a few TV guest appearances on a few shows but i've never heard of them doing anything with the public. I agree - this is gonna rock. It'll be great to see Dave, he's such a good spokesperson for the Muppets, and i am stoked to hear that Karen will be truly back where...
I agree with that. The fanbase for Muppets is still a lot more established in Europe than it is nowdays in the USA, and the style of TV in Europe (while we do take a lot of US imports) would still probably be marginally easier to fit a Muppet series into the schedules than in America. TV has...
..... and lets not forget, its us brits who co-made the show. If it wasn't for the UK there would be NO Muppets as we know them now as they wouldn't have got a show.
*waves union jack flag and runs off*
I had no idea! Are there pics anywhere of this?
Edit - yes i remember now. Wayyyy back in 2005 ... http://forum.muppetcentral.com/showthread.php?p=269348 and yes, i saw a show about Cars where they had a Muppet Studebaker built into the wall of a restaurant. Unfortunately never took down...
I think i only ever had one reply, or two i think - and maybe not all had the right equipment to do it. It'd be eaiser now what with Skype, maybe i'll try it again.
I think given the recent expansion of social networking, the rule could probably do with having their contact details, personal web links etc being added to it. Well said.
Very true, whats even more amazing ... a lot of the backstage playsets went to Europe and are still sitting as overstock in warhouses and going for silly money. I think paid about $100 for two in Germany, lol.
I remember Galaxy High, i saw some of the concept art for that and the original characters looked a lot different. I have heard of Gravedale, think i either saw it on Youtube and it was out on DVD .... or maybe that was the Groovy Ghoulies.
Jonathon Winters must have been amazing, such a...
From my experiences lately these are going down in value, vastly. Seems like a lot of people are trying to get rid of their collections for some reason. Some sellers like Corndog (Ken) are deliberately there for the longterm and have a premium price for people who really want that rare item...
You can get those easily here, discounted at over half price. I thought they were still fairly easily available in the states too.
I got the impression that maybe the edition sizes for these have been a little too large, if they are able to make a Fozzie for us then if the rumored 1000...
Yea as i said, just thought it deserved a mention in here seeing as its the central Fraggle thread right now, and that other one wasn't titled very well, a mod should have changed it. :batty:
Very exciting - i'm a big admirer of Karen and her work. Prell and Goelz are my favourite Muppeteers...
I just realised this hadn't been mentioned on here yet - there is going to be a Fraggle Rock panel at the San Diego Comic Con on Sunday July 27th. It looks like Karen Prell is appearing with the newly built Red puppet to talk about the Fraggle DVD's and movie...
The Electric Mayhem oughta respond to this -
