    Mr. Hooper death episode

Yes, Big Bird does get Mr. Hooper's name right these days. When I was 25 I saw an episode where someone saw Big Bird's picture of Mr. Hooper and wanted to buy it. Of course, Big Bird didn't want to sell it. He told this man about Mr. Hooper and one of the things he said was, "I was always...

    Snuffy and Big Bird

I hope this won't bore you all to tears (feel free to delete this post whoever is moderating this board) but there is something strange I just have to get off my chest. There was a girl I have not seen for quite a long while, although I did get e-mails from her until recently. The strange...

Next year the Muppets will be 50 years old

That's right. My gosh, I never thought of that. Of course it was never so fragmented 20 years ago, was it?

    Muppet Show Season 1

    Oh yes, I remember now!

Next year the Muppets will be 50 years old

What do you suppose they will do to celebrate?

    Snuffy and Big Bird

Well, that's possible. After all, R2D2 and C3PO sometimes appeared on Sesame Street.

    Muppet Show Season 1

Speaking of Wayne and Wanda, I just remembered that there was a later episode which I don't remember all the details of, but I do know they were looking back over Kermit's life, as in This Is Your Life. Two of the guests were Wayne and Wanda, who were upset because Kermit sacked them. Kermit...

    Muppets into chickens episode

I first saw that show when I was 9. I thought that everyone at Channel 7 (who showed The Muppet Show in Australia at the time) would sneeze and turn into a chook, but of course they didn't. The next programme after The Muppet Show was the news, and wouldn't it have been funny if Mal Walden had...

    Middle part of theme song,

I was born in 1972, one year after Sesame Street started being shown in my country. I can only remember back to when I was three or four, and even then, the middle section of the theme song, the part that starts off with, "It's a magic carpet ride", never seemed to be used, except in...

    Muppet Show Season 1

Funny that. They were the best of friends in The Muppet Movie, which is supposed to be the story of how the Muppet troupe got together.

    Which movie was better?

I havn't seen any of those Cookie, but I did see Elmo Saves Christmas. It seems he nearly destroyed it too! Imagne it being Chirstmas everyday! Although, I feel that the storyteller ( I don't remember her name right now) may have made it up.

Do you like Disney owning the Muppets?

You mean to say that Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck are nowhere near as good as The Muppets? To tell the truth, as a fan of both Disney and Muppets it's pretty hard to be objective. On one hand, having Kermit, Miss Piggy and Co. under the same umbrella as Mickey and Donald sounds like a dream...

Put your name in a Sesame Street book

Oh yes, there have been books like that around for years. A friend of mine had one called "The Great Sesame Street ABC Hunt".

    Muppet Show Season 1

Oh yes. How could I forget that? That's because Erin Osker did the voice in season 1. Richard Hunt took over for season 2 onwards. I myself have thought of one more. Hilda. The later shows never had Hilda.

    Muppet Show Season 1

There are several things that make the first season of The Muppet Show different to what was to follow: The opening. (For instance, instead of trying to blow a horn, Gonzo tries to hit the O in "Show". Four wise-cracking houses. Wayne and Wonder (always introduced by Sam) Hilda. Miss...

    The first three Muppet movies

I think my favorite of all those is The Great Muppet Caper. But of course they're all classics. The other night I was watching the DVD of The Muppets Take Manhatten and it brought back a lot of memoires of when I was 12. My favorite part is when Miss Piggy's handbag gets stolen and she burrows a...

    Rowlf on Sesame?

I didn't see the number nine sketch until I was 16 and by then, The Muppet Show had come and gone. I remember I got quite a shock when Rowlf came along and said, "Nine lights." I said out aloud, "What's Rowlf doing on Sesame Street?" BTW, there was also a recent show where Bob was going to...

    Which movie was better?

For my money, I liked Follow That Bird better. Elmo In Grouchland wasn't bad, but I'm not that wild about Elmo, and besides, the interuptions by Ernie and Bert jarred a bit.

    Red-hot letter "I"

Am I the only one who wasn't scarred by the music that came with this film?! I think I first saw it when I was 8 or 9 and I always loved the music. I can hear it in my head even as I type this.

Fraggle DVD coming this summer in the US

I feel that one DVD with two episodes of Fraggle Rock is better than nothing. If it was coming out here I'd sure go out and buy it. Here in Australia there used to be videotapes of the programme but all appear to have been deleted.
