The Wrestler
Although I didn't see it until early 2009, I have to go with "The Wrestler" starring Mickey Rourke. I am a longtime wrestling fan and yes I was an independent wrestler for 18 years. This movie tells the honest truth about the business and what guys at the independent level, and in...
Mr. Luke also did voice over work for the first few (don't rememeber how many exactly) "Godzilla" films when they were imported over here. He and Geroge Takei did most of the male voices. Keye Luke is an absolute talent.
My all time favorite is Kermit, he's always the voice of reason amongst the madness around him. Kermit's not easily rattled, but when it does happen he loses his mind so much, it's hysterical!
I also love Count Von Count. Some call him obsessive, I call him passionate, he loves numbers and...
Everyone has mentioned some great specials and classic stuff that definitely should see the light of day, either as extras on future TMS DVD releases or even as a collection all it's own. I especially agree with having some Sam & Friends clips, but I also would love to see the old Henson...
I was shocked when I heard this...Mr. Montalban has always been one of my favorite actors.
In addition to all the roles aforementioned, I will remember him as Senior Armando in "Escape From" and "Conquest of The Planet of the Apes". May he rest in peace.
I finally finished "Street Gang" two nights ago and was thoroughly impressed. So many behind the scenes and lowdown dirt stories, and I must admit I also shall never look at Michael Eisner the same again. I also was shocked to learn about Bob Keeshan...who knew that Captain Kangaroo was such a...
I'd actually love to get my hands on the original episodes with Alberto the Dragon in place of Abelardo Montoya and Paco the "grouchy" green parrot. My dad used to take us to Guatemala alot when we were little to see my grandparents and I fondly remeber those old shows. Don't get me wrong, I...
After reading everyone's comments here, I think I'm going over to Amazon to order my copy of this amazing sounding book. I'll come back with thoughts of my own after I read it in it's entirety.
Well...my signature should give a good hint. I also like the Fireman film ("Fireman, he's ready to go...the Fireman") and alot of the old films where they explained where things came form or how things were made.
Pac Man is the forever king of video and arcade games for me. I also have fond memories of playing Asteroids, Centipede, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong and a whole lot of Pinball.
Video games just aren't what they used to be in my opinion.
Thank you...I was waiting for someone to mention these shows! I'm not much younger than you Xerus, and I remember the programs you mentioned very well along with Nick Rocks.
Easily one of my all time favorite shows. My wife and I used to be devoted viewers until they yanked it from Sci-Fi...too bad, we really enjoyed getting up on Saturday mornings for breakfast and MST3K.
I definitely think JFK's death was a conspiracy and UFO's have to be real...to steal from Charlton Heston, "I can't help but think that somewhere in the universe there has to be something better than man...".
As far as Walt Disney being frozen, false. His final wish was to be cremated and...
I think the Spin Doctors surprised me more than any other, no particular reason other than I didn't think "cool" bands from the 90's would ever be on SS, but then others followed suit...Hootie & The Blowfish, Goo Goo Dolls, Fugees, etc.
