I think the letter is poi-fect (as Junior Gorg might say)! Got to give you giant props to Borples for writing that letter. Only a few tweeks from my point of view, I think you should put 'thousands' where it is left blank in the opening sentence. And... well... that's it.
You did an amazing...
Answers (at least, what I think they should be):
1) First off, I think we should be called HenCon like you've suggested or HensonCon (both being short for Jim Henson convention). We should most likely do that and say that we cater to a variety of Henson/Muppet/Sesame fandoms all in one or we...
Whoa!!!!!!!! Man! I just read the 7 pages on the last thread and the 6 on this and... man! You guys are amazing! Just, thank you for taking my idea to the next level! MuppetFest was awesome and to just think of the possibilities for a new one, is just fantastic.
To kind of begin responding...
We aren't Trekkies or Star Wars fans, yes, but I think we need to keep thinking this MuppetFest/Muppet convention idea needs to be seriously revisited. I read around the web that a few years, maybe last year, don't hold that against me, that Invader Zim has it's own con. Now, don't get me wrong...
While I'm not to big a fan of multiple sequels to a movie, I enjoyed Lilo & Stitch. The franchise was well made and the series was awesome especially with all the crossovers they did. And they finished it off very well...
Let's see, I thought John Carter was amazing despite it's terrible box office presence. I will admit the CGI was not the best but I thought the writing was great and I loved the inclusion of the Barsoom language thing. Good one.
Didn't see The Secret World of Arrietty, but I think it looked...
Well, I've got a few catchphrases... "Hi!", "What's up", "Have you heard about that new movie?", "I'm ready for lunch", "What's on TV?", "Let's watch that", "I'll record it!". Stuff like that.
I'll open mine first...
*opens present, ignoring the fact that I just got here and didn't acknowledge my entrance*
Let's see, I got a lacrosse stick and an Adele CD.... whoever got this really doesn't know me! I like blue lacrosse sticks, this one's red!
Now why don't you open your's Miss...
I think he means you'd need to get everyone's permission for the characters and get a good director who's passionate about Muppets and Jim Henson. I think that'd be the perfect way to begin. For a director, maybe you could go with Kevin Clash, Brian Henson, or one of the writers of the Jim...
Sorry, that was just my take on it. The gist of it (I think that's how you spell that) is that actors would play the Muppeteers and Muppets wouldn't be real beings, it would be from a real-life standpoint, I guess.
I like this idea a lot! Though, I don't think this idea is the best for a documentary. I'm thinking more like a biopic where actors play the Muppeteers and the Muppets wouldn't appear as living beings. I love that Frank Oz talking with Fozzie thing. I think it would work better, actually, if he...
Not the Vitamin Drinks again... anyway... how can we go about not starting the drama... well... uh.... we can all sleep on it... either way, I think it'll be a good thing to start. Anyway...
*swats the vitamin drinks*
