You might be thinking of the episode where they have a dog show, and Michelle decides at the end of the day that she wants to keep Sparky, who is Teddy's dog.
I was almost 3 when Jim passed away. I don't have any memories from that day but what stands out to me is what my dad said a few years ago upon the 20th anniversary of Jim's passing...
I was hospitalized at the end of that month (May 1990) and my dad said he remembers news magazines in the lobby...
I seem to remember John Stamos talking about wanting to end Full House for quite a while before it finally did, so the last episode was definitely meant to be a "last episode". I remember fans of the show saying, "Well there might not be another season because John Stamos doesn't want to do it...

I've always liked Pino's "revamped" design-- the original doesn't even look like the same character. The first pic of Tommy looks like something from Mister Rogers.
From watching the clip posted here, I'd have to agree that it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. It wasn't the most thrilling musical number and I'm still not a fan of this show but there were a couple of touches that I liked (Animal's drum set and Kermit saying, "Good Luck, Charlie!")
I just read about this. I was never a big fan of his but this loss saddens me. It's hard to see yet another staple of classic country music leave the world.
