Your Thoughts: Fraggle Rock on The Hub beginning October 10, 2010

Fraggle Rock is at its best when it is subtle and silly and natural. There was a really great natural flow about the way characters interacted and the way dialogue was delivered. Part of me thinks that with this pressure put on these guys to recapture this, they may end up shooting themselves in...

Your Thoughts: Fraggle Rock on The Hub beginning October 10, 2010

And again...o.o I'm wary. It's been so long and the crew is going to be different. Makes me apprehensive about what they will deliver. It might be terrific or...it might be something we have to hit over the head with a shovel and quietly bury in our back yard one night at 3 in the morning.

Your Thoughts: Fraggle Rock on The Hub beginning October 10, 2010

Beautifully put. Canon is exactly what I harp on all the time. That's what felt off for me about the Fraggle Rock ending. It began to feel a little more like a fan fiction or something tailor made for fans than it did a true Fraggle Rock episode. Bwahahaha, so glad I could help, Tom! I aim to...

Your Thoughts: Fraggle Rock on The Hub beginning October 10, 2010

I can see that. Most people like happy endings. Oddly enough, for me it all depends on the tone the series has to begin with. If you have some epic war going on, ala Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, etc....then death, guts and glory are the way to go!

Your Thoughts: Fraggle Rock on The Hub beginning October 10, 2010

Well I guess this is a perfect example of what Fraggle Rock was all about. Different people have different viewpoints and different tastes. Agree to disagree on this one. There's no right or wrong when it comes to an opinion, I suppose. I just know I felt exactly the same way....except you know...

Your Thoughts: Fraggle Rock on The Hub beginning October 10, 2010

You're right. But I think to add to this...It's entirely possible that the general public -does- feel that way. I mean, to a certain extent, we do all want a strong climax and satisfying resolution....erm....Well you know what I mean.

Your Thoughts: Fraggle Rock on The Hub beginning October 10, 2010

Yeah exactly! I can't say it isn't neat for him to have met them but at the same time, I just felt like there was something a little forced in all of that. It is much better when WE the audience have the bird's eye view of it. When the audience can see the way they are connected but the...

    MuppetCast is returning

YEP! I'm pretty sure the Muppetcast has a whole heck of a lot to do with the Muppet show and just about everything else Muppety! Hee hee! I never had the pleasure before so I'll have to catch it now. ^_^ This is awesome.

Your Thoughts: Fraggle Rock on The Hub beginning October 10, 2010

I maintain that the final few episodes of Fraggle Rock felt a little off to me. They obviously had their high points, and the idea is good but I felt like once Doc actually meets the Fraggles, some of the magic was gone. I've said this before but one thing Jim Henson said in his creation of this...

Do Bowie and Connelly really dislike Labyrinth?

*laughs* You're probably right. Well, I guess by that rationale....we've muffined this thread. I admit I do that a lot. It's my ADD. Okay! I'm going to politely walk away and turn this back over to the topic at hand....*bows* With your leave..

Do Bowie and Connelly really dislike Labyrinth?

Hahahaha! Okay. I've got it now. Yeah, I have to admit that I had never heard of that before. Then again, I'm not really sure what the heck a 'muffin' is either. Oh well! I'm sorry. I certainly didn't mean to ziffel you. ^_- I just got caught up in the convo. Labyrinth gets the old blood...

Do Bowie and Connelly really dislike Labyrinth?

Hah! You over think things, bottom line. Of course, the English language is just a little confusing at times. I saw a great post about that somewhere. No matter how you began the sentence...be it a'yes' or 'no' the meaning was exactly the same and never good. Something along the lines of " ____...

Do Bowie and Connelly really dislike Labyrinth?

Yeah! Like looking back at old pictures or home movies of yourself from the 80s and 90's with the aquanet bangs and the MC hammer pants. *shudders* Fun times but....no. Just no.

Do Bowie and Connelly really dislike Labyrinth?

Well the question is :"Are you saying you don't want to watch Labyrinth anymore?" I think she's saying that ...No, she doesn't mean she doesn't want to see it again but that she hasn't seen it in a while as it is. Or maybe she feels like she doesn't feel the need to watch it again. She enjoyed...

Do Bowie and Connelly really dislike Labyrinth?

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing that, VP. See that's exactly what I mean. You can take any statement and totally change the meaning of it when you take it out of context. What Connelly said there is exactly the kind of thing I've always heard her say. That's why in the media 'spin' is such an...

Do Bowie and Connelly really dislike Labyrinth?

I'd like agree with this 100%, Plaid, and I almost do except that if that HAD been true (which I will say again, I highly doubt) it would get under my skin. It's always in bad taste when an actor rags on their own movies in a non-loving way. There will always be horrible first films but they...

Video: The Fraggles at Carnegie Hall!

You're probably right about that. I was only able to catch it when I was a kid because my sister's friend had HBO and I apparently demanded that my sister have her tape it for me. o.o But I only caught parts of it that way. It wasn't until it aired on TNT that I was able to see all I missed. And...

Anyone into 90s toons and classic 40s cartoons?

Dexter's Lab, Hey Arnold, Wild Thornberrys, Courage the Cowardly Dog....and then there were Tiny Toons, Animaniacs and Freakazoid! God I loved Freakazoid. It's funny but the Batman series was one of the best animated superhero shows there is. You can't beat Harley Quinn or Mark Hamill as the...
