I remember when Jim Henson died. My mother told me as I was getting ready for work that Jim and Sammy Davis Jr. had both passed on. I was 18 at the time.
12 years eh? Seems like only yesterday I discovered this site. I do remember my parents went online around that time. Although I don't post very much anymore, allow me to say, here's to the next 12 years!
There was also the time when Ernie made a shopping list out of chocolate pudding. It ended with Bert saying to the viewers, "Well, he's improving. Last time he used spagetti sauce."
I was in Warnimbool last week and saw the complete set on sale. It also had some if not all of the special features that did not make it on the season sets. I wonder why Magna Pacific did not include them before.
Having never read this book I am not really in a position to comment on it, but I would like to think this and the Louise Gikow book would complement each other. Her book mentions most of the things that minor muppetz claimed the Michael Davis book ommited, but Street Gang seems to have as many...
I agree with everyone who has praised this book. As good as Sesame Street Unpaved was, this one leaves it for dead. I was intrested to read that Allison Bartlett, the actress who plays Gina, was one of those kids who used to shout at the TV when Snuffy was right behind the grownups.
I only got around to watching that just recently, but I couldn't believe just how old much of that stuff is! Mind you, a lot of other stuff i vagely remember seeing when I was a preschooler.
Boy, how glad I am now that I did not stop watching when I turned 5.
I got the book today. So far I have only glanced through it but it looks good. Furthermore, at the back there's a section called "Need To Read" - and this website is mentioned!
