The Muppets - why else?
Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey - see above
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - The Friendship Express - Because I like the show, wanted to see episodes I've missed out on. And besides, it might be the last time we see Derpy the way we know her...
I used to participate in a game on the now-closed Box Office Mojo forums called "Create a Year of Movies" where we would write movie plots, give the movies release dates and see how they did at the box office, leading up to a Oscar "ceremony". I had an animation studio that had plans to make a...
Yeah, something about the DVD sets me the wrong way. Not so much the movie or the bonus features, just the way it's presented. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the fact I have to battle the volume when I have the DVD or the fact that the menus seem a bit DVD-R-ish. But that's just me, it's...
Went to Best Buy and picked it up this morning. They didn't have it out on the new releases stand but they had it on a cart with a bunch of other DVDs getting ready to be stacked. I didn't know if I could take it or not but after a 1/2 hour of waiting as the staff didn't seem to want to touch...
Oh boy, I'm going to the 12:30 show too even though I tried to get tickets to the 3PM misunderstanding got in my way. Awesome to see so many people are flying to NY to see this! I hope I see some of you, I know I'll be waiting outside the stage door when it's all over to see if any of the...
I cringe at the thought of reading the review of The Muppets they would have had in November. If they even bothered to have someone review it or just have a fluff piece saying "Breaking Dawn is amazing because it's Twilight!!! ZOMG I like cake! LOLZ!"
Nah, they won't, they'll still be all "ZOMG! Twilight!!!"
When I was a senior in high school, the review of New Moon in the school paper [written by a Twilight fangirl] basically said "Overall, New Moon is kind of bad but the fact that it's Twilight makes it a excellent movie" Where's Roger...
I swear, if I ever have kids, I'm going make sure they have no idea these Chipmunks movies exist. My future daughters and/or sons deserve better than watching CG rodents make 3 million pop culture references and poop-eating. They're getting a steady diet of Muppets, Disney and Pixar with some...
On the bright side, this will go great for my annual Facebook April Fool's prank tomorrow. I'm going to keep posting about how "the Muppets suck, they are never going to be popular ever again!" and spend the whole day gaining interest in Twilight and obsessing about it. I know no one will...
I'm tempted to go to Best Buy and buy all the Chipmunks DVDs they have in bulk and burn them all.
But to be fair this IS the Kid's Choice Awards. You got to expect stuff like this, I bet Bart's Nightmare won Favorite Video Game the year it came out and <sarcasm>we all know how great that game...
I could think of a few choice words to say on here, but this is a family forum.
I will say though that the youth of America has pretty *smoo* taste.
The Beaver. Yes, I've seen it. It's a real movie.
This movie has such a brilliant premise on paper. A man who pretty much put himself in depression attempts to get himself out by communicating via a puppet beaver that's actually destroying him further. But this movie is so ungodly misguided...
Number of holds update:
The Muppets: 219 (!!!)
Chipwrecked: 60 (it comes out today on DVD)
Nice to see people actually do have taste after all! :) Keep eating poop and making outdated references, Alvin, and see how we're still not laughing... :(
