I think that’s the way most people felt. And those who didn’t came around to that conclusion by 1999.
MFS does have some good playback today, but I remember being very underwhelmed when I saw it in theaters. It seemed like a transition film at the time and still does. I think the absence of...
Small detail question:
Weren't full thread titles visible from the main page (the one listing the folders) before, when you floated your mouse over them? I liked that you could do that. Now, if you see a new thread in a given folder, you have to click on it to find out what it's called.

Good to hear! It sounds like there will be much bonus material, but it doesn't say it's new. Either way, good move from Henson. And it's nice to hear individual seasons are an option too.
Now, can A&E do Fraggle Season 4?
Perhaps they're being cleared for next year then. Disney knows they need time to clear everything for TMS. And the inclusion of contemporary Muppet material on a classic DVD is in line with past practices, unfortunately.
There's too little to form an opinion on anything yet, but it sounds interesting. And it's good to see Fraggle at the top of that list. Looking forward to hearing more next month...
Two events happening in Seattle next month: a Jane Henson lecture and a John Kennedy puppet builiding workshop.
The lecture is sold out currently, but there may be tickets available the day of. Nice to see such an event fill up.
It could really be anything. Perhaps they’re waiting for Comic Con. Perhaps they were waiting until the Licensing Expo to get a better feel for how FR fits the market now. Or perhaps they're almost ready and we'll hear something soon.
One thing is for sure: the sooner it gets into production...
Right. And HIT likely knew it wouldn't be renewed, so they turned greedy. Considering the circumstances and the calendar, I'm pretty sure they were never going to release Season 4 once they decided to do the complete series. Not even their ill-informed customer service reps got wind of anything...
I don’t think they’re losing ratings. This format is the only way to compete these days. That’s exactly the problem with television. With so many channels to choose from (plus other viewing options such as the internet taking away more eyes), cable stations are forced to expand beyond their...
I hope Fraggle Season 4 news comes soon too, and that it’s delivered to this thread.
Comments over the last three days have delved into shows in similar home video situations as Fraggle, not just Get Smart. The release patterns of these shows reflect options HIT could have chosen before their...
I mostly wanted to follow up on the news about MTM. Frankly, I’m happy to know HIT’s boneheaded decision did not create a new trend within the industry, especially in an era of declining DVD sales (recession aside).
HBO, not Warner, is releasing season sets of Get Smart, with the third season...
It looks like Fox has had a major change in plans. In what seems to be an attempt to satisfy the loyal consumers who purchased the first four seasons individually, they have pushed back the release date of their complete series box and have a new Amazon entry for a stand-alone Season 5 (where...
