I happen to like this artwork and think it is edgier and darker than we've seen the Muppets drawn. I think Jim Henson would approve and love it as he always wanted the Muppets to be adult and edgy.
Right now people are judging it by its cover and we haven't even seen the final product.
PS...
It makes me so happy to see that someone else knows Frank Miller's work is bad. I met him one night in Hollywood and he's just a big 'ol drunken mess. There's no genius there and all of his movies annoy me.
That being said a lot of things come out that we aren't sure about or think are going...
This comic isn't even out yet and everyone's panning it. In Hollywood we have this old saying: You have to see the movie first before you can critique it.
I think that Langridge's style is infinitely more interesting than the Daryl Cagle example given above.
I just called my favorite LA comic store "Meltdown Comics" on Sunset and they said they will definitely have it but BOOM isn't even sure about the release date for The Muppet Show yet...
I'm just reading all of this and must say that I love the idea!
I've met Del Toro before and he has to be one of the most down to earth and humbled directors i've ever ever met. Great vibes from him and I thought Pan's Labyrinth was brilliant. (Also he made a fantastic film called "The Devil's...
I already posted the ratings and this article gives you a much better view of how the muppets did as it is the highest rated xmas special for NBC thus far.

Thank you Prawncracker and JJanice...
I love, love, love it!
I can't critique a single thing about it. Of course there were things left to be desired but overall the magic, intent and puppeteering was intact and I think Jim Henson himself would have enjoyed this special. It was truly that...
I guess we'll all know tomorrow!
I laughed really hard at the outtakes when Piggy said she was doing it for the money and then she fake laughed. That was the hilarious!

Your eyefix on Fozzie is spot on!
I like this artist. It's an edgier muppets... I would think it would be interesting to the adult set that has been following them for years. I like your fixes though.
Another Muppet Movie in the works... "The Happytime Murders"

I never questioned the name Bernice - good job Jamie.
Even though we aren't hearing anything more about Segel's project it could still happen. (fingers crossed) Disney did very little advertising for the DC thing so, they shouldn't go by those numbers in my opinion.
