Is the camera the TV monitor that allows puppeteers to watch what they're doing? Did they ever use this technique on Sesame Street in the mid 70's?

How does this work on Sesame Street? Do the puppeteers sit or lie on rolling cushions?

My favorite Hunt characters are Don Music, Forgetfull Jones, Placido Domingo, Statler, Scooter and Mildred.

Anyone see the Conan bit with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog talking to Star Wars fans in line for Episode II? That was absolutely hilarious watching a hand puppet dog interview these "real" people on the street. That would be a great direction to take the muppets (minus the "For me to poop on"...
