Re: Phil,
I've always wanted those puppets and it seems difficult to find them out -side of Ebay. Did you know there was also an anything muppet in that line-up? That puppet came with a set of eyes, noses and hair.
Does anyone recall a brief documentary from 1989? It was "The Sesame Street Experiment" and it had interviews with Sonia Manzano, Caroll Spinney and Jim Henson.
The funniest creature I've ever seen in the Muppet show was that ugly Hugga Wugga. He was performed by Frank Oz. How did Frank do the gargling voice? Did he have water in his mouth without swallowing?
Acutally Jerry talked about Jim's temper in the book "Jim Henson: The works the art, the magic, the imagination" by Christopher Finch. I wonder how Jim felt about his separation from Jane in 1986?
Those are wonderful moments. Remember when Mr. Hooper asks Big Bird to open the store? A phone noise scares the dung out of the bird that he nearly runs away. Big Bird rides a unicycle down Sesame Street to catch Stevie wonder while Oscar stares at him in disbelief.
Even though Matt Robinson is cool, Rocose Orman will always be my favorite Gordon. Bob is cool too! The thing I like about Gordon and Bob is that they were constantly the victims of Oscar's prankish schemes. Another thing I like about the humans was seeing them interact with Frank Oz...
Fraggle Rock figs would be great! Palesides could make a naked Grover and a Super Grover! I would also purchase Grover including Bert, Ernie, Cookie, Oscar, the Count and Herry. Big Bird would be bigger than the others. What about Mr. Snuffleupagus?
It's saddens me that Sesame Street isn't the same without the ingenious pioneers that aided the show to achive such phenominal success. The writers are no where at the level of genius that Jon Stone, Norman Stiles, Jeff Moss, Jim Henson, and Joe Raposo had.
Does anyone have guitar or piano chords to "A Song From Kermit"? If anyone has the chords, please e-mail me at discostu29@hotmail.com asap.
Thank you so much!!!
it's www.carollspinney.8m.com. Yes, Caroll is working on his auto biography and it will come out in 2003. He wants to talk about life inside and outside the birdsuit and he'll mention Jim Henson and the company.
