    Muppet cartoon by Lowercasegods

Well, no doubt a lot of background Muppet characters will pop up in my Gorch strip one way or another!

Gorch But Not Forgotten (a comic strip)

High praise from a high talent! Thank you, my friend! I've tried to make this strip so that the Gorch characters TELL the gags, but their obscure personalities aren't necessarily the gags. All you know from the old SNL clips is that Ploobis is a blowhard who bullies Scred, Scred is a toadie...

    Selling some Puppets

"They hate me" seems a little overly simplistic. More likely than not it was because of Copyright infringement for your Kermit semi-replicas, though I don't know how strict E-Bay is about such things. Still, beyond your Kermit-ish puppets, your others are very nice.

Gorch But Not Forgotten (a comic strip)

Thank you! I actually started out in the page format as a kid, then when I got to college I experimented with strips and tried for almost ten years solid to be a syndicated cartoonist (they just weren't interested). But now (besides my new Gorch comic) I'm back to full page work with my new...

Gorch But Not Forgotten (a comic strip)

I'm interested in using those kinds of rarely considered background characters, so you may see them in the comic yet!

Gorch But Not Forgotten (a comic strip)

That means a lot, especially considering how much difficulty I had in drawing Beautiful Day Monster and Vazh! With BD, it was getting that square head, wide nose and lumpy Beaker mouth just right, which I'm not entirely sure I accomplished, but I got it as close as I could. With Vazh, I had...

Gorch But Not Forgotten (a comic strip)

That's very nice of you! Thank you for being an avid viewer of my comic! Yeah, I don't know exactly what is was--the fact that the Gorch characters were so forgotten and underused, or that they're designs were so unique and different from anything else the Henson's had created--but the...

Gorch But Not Forgotten (a comic strip)

Hey, I'm just a guy who did next to nothing but draw for the past 34 years. Anyone with an urge to have no social life or to never see daylight can do it!:) Don't sweat not understanding the fourth one. I'm the first to admit that I've chosen a VERY obscure Henson creation to base a comic...

Gorch But Not Forgotten (a comic strip)

Thank you! But I can only dream....At best, I just wanted to satisfy a very strong, overwhelming creative urge with this comic. I any of the Henson's or Muppeteers were to see this, hey, all the better. But for now, I'm just following this particular vein of creativity to its logical conclusion...

Gorch But Not Forgotten (a comic strip)

Who WHO is? King Ploobis? If so, you shouldn't feel ashamed at all. The Gorch Muppets were only featured in a handful of Season 1 Saturday Night Live episodes, then dropped into obscurity. I feel like now, with SNL season 1 finally being released on DVD that people will get to know these...

Gorch But Not Forgotten (a comic strip)

These are great questions! I'd been fascinated with the idea of the Gorch characters since I read about them when I was ten. Back then (1984) there wasn't much information or visual references for the characters besides them being very ornate creatures and considerably more adult in theme and...

Gorch But Not Forgotten (a comic strip)

Thank you so much! It's true, I tried to stay true to the source material. That's why I ended up re-drawing the first Gorch comic (based off my old Gorch comic from '06) so I could be far more faithful to the designs. Plus, after seeing the Gorch sketches on DVD, I felt I had a far better handle...
