    Any Bronies on here?

The two-part premiere was a nice focus on Starlight Glimmer and her reluctance to reunite with her childhood friend who went off to study magic all of a sudden, largely because of all the atrocities she committed last season. I liked the reveal that Sunburst, as her friend is named, . Oh yeah...

Behold... the New Teen Titans Cartoon...

I know both of us have crapped on this show's animation in the past, but it can be really good when it wants to. The episode "Squash and Stretch" also made use of some nice cartoony animation, and I enjoyed the more detailed style of the "dark and edgy" Titans in "Let's Get Serious". Also, the...

Behold... the New Teen Titans Cartoon...

And at least the Titans weren't A-holes to each other in this episode. Grube's episodes have indeed been the weakest in the show. Well, except for maybe the A-plot of "Nean", if only because of Trigon being Trigon. The best episodes this season so far have been "Leg Day" (I liked the parody...

    Commercial rant time...

I've seen that show and the episode you're talking about, and I loved how dead-on they were with that commercial, right down to the old lady's lines being delivered in a melodramatic fashion. :)

    Commercial rant time...

Oh God, that cheap knee brace commercial is spreading! I actually saw it on local TV over here!

    Lego Batman Movie in development

I feel like there's a lot more of the world and characters to explore with a sequel. It would be interesting to see the side characters like Metal Beard and Unikitty get some focus this time.

West Nile, Swine Flu, Meningitis, and Sequelitis

If Zoolander 2 is any indication, I don't expect this one to make as much as the last two (along with its spin-off Beauty Shop). It will most definitely get spanked by that live-action Jungle Book movie that is releasing in the same weekend.

My daughter was Jim Henson today

She looks like a combination of clean-shaven 1950s Jim with flannel-clad hippie Jim that we're most familiar with! Great job! :)

Another Stupid movie to Overreact to...

If Cracked is anything to go by, it's because Genisys did well enough in China that it's getting a new installment.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Zootopia is number one for the 3rd week in a row, and was strong enough to take down Allegiant, whose opening is nowhere near the numbers of the previous installments in the Divergent series! :) http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/?yr=2016&wknd=12&p=.htm

    Hanna-Barbera

You know, it would be interesting if the upcoming Flintstones and Jetsons films (and I'll throw in the Scooby-Doo film for good measure) would go the round of The Peanuts Movie and translate that flat, limited animation style of the original cartoons into CG. It may be more difficult, but it...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

And that's a darn shame, as it looks like a quality movie that doesn't deserve to get the same treatment as some bleventeenth-party CGI product. The actual Little Prince story is done in stop-motion, for one!

Behold... the New Teen Titans Cartoon...

The St. Patrick's Day episode was once again the lame "Titans obsess over something stupid" type of plot (in this case, pinching others who don't wear green and teasing Robin over being a leprechaun) and them journeying to a magical land to resolve a conflict (in this case, taking some...

And at least AT and RS are shown in a more accessible prime time slot unlike Transformers' butt crack of dawn showing.

    The Clarence thread

It was great to see another episode focused on Sumo and his family with Clarence as a side character. I like how Sumo's dad is always defending him whenever his older brother picks on him even though the latter justifies it as "toughening him up".

    We Bare Bears

Nom Nom gets another episode starring himself. I enjoyed his rivalry with another Internet celeb and how he strung the bears along to plan an elaborate jump scare to get back at him.

    The St. Patrick's Day thread

Funny thing about corned beef and cabbage: in Ireland it's actually very unusual to eat the former on St. Paddy's Day as it's not an Irish national dish. It was likely a substitute for bacon for Irish immigrants as they arrived to America as it was easier to come by...
