I'm actually kind of surprised about all the negative response to Segel taking on the Muppets, but none for the guy bringing us the Fraggles to the big screen who has yet to show us anything related to quality... and yes, I saw "Hoodwinked!" and "Doogal".
Don't get me wrong - I'm optimistic...
LaMarche just isn't as well-known as Fallon, which is sadly unfortunate.
I don't actually like Fallon, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. There are so many better people for the job. I mean, heck... I remember seeing an interview with Paul Rudd where he said it was his...
Conan HAD to have had some say in this. I have faith in Conan; therefore, I have faith in Fallon.
Demetri Martin, Michael Ian Black or Andy Richter would have been much better, but I do think Fallon could do this right. Maybe this is the place he's meant to shine.

This is a great idea. It's simple. And there's a reason Jim said, "Simple is good." You can do more with a small plot than you can with a giant plot.
First of all, Appleglow? I'm going to start calling him that.
Second of all, I'm glad you enjoyed it, but nobody on "Drillbit Taylor", including Seth Rogen, is working on the new Muppet movie (that is, as far as we know). The one you wanna check out next month is "Forgetting Sarah Marshall"...
Actually, I love that moment in "Muppets From Space". I don't think it was out of character, I think it's a hilarious example of Kermit's trying a new phrase out and just not getting it. That line would work with, say, Pepe or Clifford, but with Kermit, it just doesn't. I think it's a cute...
