West Nile, Swine Flu, Meningitis, and Sequelitis

They announced a sequel just around the time the worldwide numbers came in for the first, so this isn't surprising. But what is surprising is that it's being released in August rather than the cushy May spot as the first one was. Does Sony no longer have confidence in it or something?

Disney Muppet Babies Season 1 Episode 19a - The Best, Best Friend

Gotta love Rowlf's new outfit and piano, which is more of a synthesizer/DJ turntable this time. With him returning, Scooter and Skeeter shouldn't be too far behind! :)

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

Maybe she's thinking of retiring from acting like Mara Wilson did, or perhaps she's staying away from big projects.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

I was going to edit my post to include "lightning rarely strikes twice when it comes to sequels", but thanks for doing it for me. :D

The Lego Movie 2 was #1 last weekend, but failed to make anywhere near the numbers of the first one, though it did open higher than Ninjago. This proves that lightning rarely strikes twice. https://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/?yr=2019&wknd=06&p=.htm

Strangely I had that exact same plate growing up, and we're all from the Southwest instead.

Super Bowl LIII: New England Patriots vs. Los Angeles Rams

The Pats seem like the ones who will be taking it home again. Though the one thing standing in the way of the GOAT are a bunch of Rams! Wocka wocka! :o

    The Steven Universe thread

I have a feeling the upcoming TV movie will be SU's finale.

For those who think McDonalds sponsoring Sesame Street is unusual

As a kid, eating at McD's is a victory. As an adult, it's defeat. And if I were Richie Rich, I'd rather have my own private In-N-Out or Steak 'n Shake instead. :)

I guess it's because she started off as a boy during the pitch pilot, but still has the same adult male voice.

    Confessing Crushes...

Robot Jones probably would have had a better chance had it been released a little later in the 2000s, when '80s nostalgia began to take hold.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

The Just Dance game series will be getting a film adaptation, with the Peter Rabbit director behind it. Oh joy. https://deadline.com/2019/01/just-dance-videogame-movie-sony-screen-gems-ubisoft-shakira-pharrell-williams-camila-cabello-jennifer-lopez-1202534677/ Yeah, don't bother...

I think it's some kind of contest where viewers can vote on their favorite.

    Questions about anything

AVG started to get way too slow and bloated for my old laptop, and even began to force programs on me I didn't want or even need. Avast has been much better to me in comparison.

    The Funny Videoe Thread

There's this awful commercial for an antivirus program from India called Protegent, whose mascot is a palette swap of the main character of Super Why, of all places. It's a really terrible rap with really terrible animation, but Google Translate has made it even better. :) Original: Translated:

    Questions about anything

It was a flop when it first released, but thanks to the power of VHS, it gained an audience over time. It even allowed viewers to spot all the recycled animation from other Disney films (it was the most blatant example from that time). :D

    Animated Hotties?

Plum from Bravest Warriors is a real cutie, too. Helps that Tara Strong voices her. :) And yes, that's what she almost always wears in the show.

Disney Muppet Babies Season 1 Episode 17 - A Very Muppet Babies Christmas/Summer's Holiday Surprise

Miss Nanny even got a new pair of striped tights made by her Secret Santa, Kermit's mom, and we even got to see her wear them in the end.
