    Murphy Monster

Well done Herman. I enjoyed it. Great puppet, puppeteering. I like that the voice is within your range and suits the puppet character.

    Angelina on Ebay RELISTED

I never did understand that even happening. It seems like a simple concept. You bid what you are willing to pay. If you can't pay for what you bid, then don't bid it. Maybe it's more complicated than I realize.

    Girl Puppet Voices

Try doing a high pitched "Southern accent". I find that can help to get a range. Then practice loosing the accent or replacing it with another. That may help.

    New Monster On Ebay

Cute. He looks like a monkey-monster. I like monkey puppets; even if they are monsters.

    Needed: Brainstorming: Big Whale Puppet

Wes, Jinx has some good points. As a puppeteer and builder, I've always seen more importance in "how the puppet is intended to move" as being a base for my planning. The "look" can be tweeked fairly easily, but the basic desired movements are things that are often overlooked by many...

    Great shot. I love it.

    Kudos to www.russwalko.com. Great Puppet!

Russ is a great builder, great guy and a great puppeteer for sure. I love your puppet. I am sure you've plan great things for it.

How do you give stock fur matted appearance?

I wouldn't use this method for matting fur. For holding a shape in the fur it is a geat method, but not distressing it. Boiling works, any type of controlled heat works. I've even thrown it into the dryer for a while (no really recommended) and that worked for me. But I agree with Tom. Try...

Taking Your Puppetry To The Next Level

This is something that most puppet builders should consider doing, and understand the implications for a puppeteer. I have been planning on writing a blog post about this very topic for a while now.

    Bobo the Bear Replica help?

You can achieve the same effect using plastic boning for dressmaking to make a cage for the shape. There are lots of ways to do it, and foam stips would work as well. The idea is to make the large puppet as light as possible. The less stuff under the fabric to make the desired shape the...

    Question on Puppet Heap patterns...

I could be wrong, but I think you mean Project Puppet's website.

    How to start making puppets?

Yep. It is good practice. Also, if you ever need somone else to build from your patterns you may want to make notes on the patterns themselves to help . It can also help when you have a customer coming to you years later to rebuild a puppet.

    Question about Project Puppet's Patterns

Many of the members here have made some of those puppets in the gallery you linked to. Perhpas one of them is willing to sell you a puppet?

    I am rebuilding Farrah.

Hey Brian, I am loving the updates. Keep it up. FYI the links below your posts (profile links) are all wonky. You may (or may not) want to fix them.

Well, I am glad it is not the anti-pill fleece. I wish you the best and you are definately getting great practice.

    Frog Of Thunder.

It may be worth it to stop at this point and rethink all of the work you are doing. You are not too far in to hold up. You may have to wait to get your order of antron, but you might be much happier with antron fleece. Funny, but I think the fleece that you have is ironically...

Puppet Contest - Voting is open!

Best of luck in the contest, there are many great puppets to vote for. It is not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination to pick a favourite. Project Puppet patterns are great. I did a little write up about "creativity" using the Project Puppet pattern on the Puppet Buzz blog.
