I've been in search to meet Mr. Spinney for the last 2 years! I tried to contact his agent but nobody ever gets back to me. I live in Canada but will travel to meet him. Anyone know where I can meet Caroll Spinney in the next couple of months?:wisdom:

I haven't forgotten. My computer crashed and I lost all my finished edited episodes. Luckily I backedup all my original raw footage so I could load it all back on and re-edit it again. All this past weekend I've been editing the episodes and plan on releasing them all next week! :-)

Read what I write- I didn't say puppetry is not inexpensive. I said it is a cheaper option compared to (good quality) computer animated versions of a character. I know how much I charge for a puppet :-) and the amount of work that goes into it. I think it also depends on these other factors...

I personally think that Puppetry is the cheaper option compared to computer animated versions of characters. During these economic times the big companies are going back to what is cheaper.

There are probably no "inside the head" photos since the building of the character is a secret. Building a Cookie Monster will be a trial by error process no matter how you look at it. I would suggest using cheap fabric and creating the puppet using the Borsha Puppet pattern found at Project...

I would ask the builder. Do a search here in the forums under cookie monster and it should come up as one of the top threads since it is fairly new. Sorry but I'd have to build one to give you the pattern but I'm too busy.

Never go by a photo. The colour is always off in pictures...I would recommend getting a $1 sample from the company. When you get it boil it for about 1 minute and then let dry. Once it is dry compare it to photos of Cookie Monster...LOL realistically the photo you will be comparing it to will be...
