We're cleaning out and cutting back on Muppet collectibles. I'm selling my duplicate Palisades figures (at least all the ones I've found thus far) as well as various other Muppet stuff. **update- more figures added**
If you would like to see pictures, PM me and I'll get them to you. I would...
They aren't saying Sesame Street is bad, they're saying television has not been proven to offer any developmental advantages for children under two. The American Academy of Pediatrics (or Pediatrics Association or whatever their name is) says children under two should not watch television...

I merged the two celebrity meetings threads. Before posting a new thread, try to look through and see if there is already a thread on the topic.

I could be misremembering-- maybe just the puppeteer came and they created Rosita specifically for the American SST. I remember reading some place that Rosita came from Plazo-- don't remember where I read it though so I have no idea if it was a reliable source.
With Snuffy, as I understand it, they didn't want to send the message that adults wouldn't believe what kids told them.
Rosita was on the Mexican production of Sesame Street and they brought the character to the US version.
We used to go to TV show tapings as dorm fundraisers. They'd pay $5 a head for large groups to fill the audience. Here's what I remember:
Coach (pilot episode)
Married with Children
Pilot of a show based on the play that Rommy and Michelle's High School Reunion was based on-- can't...
Lots of people move on in their careers. John Travolta hasn't shown up for a Welcome Back Kotter reunion special, does that mean he turned his back on the show that first made him a star? Muppetfest was one weekend and I think it is unfair to judge Frank harshly for not showing up for that...
I believe the stalking comment was tongue in cheek-- thus the Kermit smiley at the end. It can be hard to read tone in a post but try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Most of the folks here are nice Muppety freaks and mean no harm.
Again, please keep posts respectful. You are welcome to disagree but do not insult other members and no name calling. If you can't play nicely your account may be suspended. Don't jump on people for typos and poor spelling and don't take others' criticsm too personally. Try throwing penguins...
Please keep posts respectful. It isn't about being politically correct, it's about using language that is appropriate for a wide range of ages. MC is a family-friendly forum.
Multiple threads on the same topic can get annoying-- but that's why there are mods who can merge threads. No need...
Please remember to keep your comments respectful. No need for name calling or insulting folks. Disagree all you want, just be polite about it. And if you've posted something once, let it go, okay? People will see it and respond or not as they choose. Multiple threads on the same subject...
I would be shocked if Sesame Workshop wasn't willing to work with the Henson folk if they wanted to do a Hensonfest. There wasn't a lot of Sesame at Muppetfest, but Elmo was there. The trick (beyond convincing someone with the power to make it happen and finding a way to make it profitable)...
This thread pops up regularly. There are no new answers.
Yes, there was talk of another Muppetfest. Yes, that was a while ago. Yes, Disney owning the Muppets changes everything. Some of the Henson folk seemed to enjoy Muppetfest and showed interest in another. It isn't up to them, now...
