Best Dvd for Classic cartoons and puppet scenes?

Those are really good choices, i have never failed to look at them whenever i want a trip down memory lane. BTW, there was a very good audio cassette of the Sesame Street Muppets doing segments of the entire alphabet. Its a really old one (it was not made by SonyWonder like today- was it Random...

Who's your favorite sesame street character!

Cookie and Kermit all the way! Cookie Monster and Kermit are my personal favorites. Frank Oz did the best ad libs when and Jim Henson was truly unique.

Best Dvd for Classic cartoons and puppet scenes?

Well, I can't say for sure if there's a Sesame Street DVD with all the great vintage stuff you mentioned- but I can give a few names of some DVDs or tapes that I found to be ok. There's the VHS "The best of Kermit" and "The best of Ernie and Bert", there were some good clips on those tapes...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I'm sorry you felt like that about the adventure clip, it was actually one of my favorites. The other animated one you're talking about feature a pale female mouse with a skirt that opened a creaky door and when she saw the letter 'E', that's when she did her scream: "EEEEEEEEEEEE". I haven't...

    Warren Wolf

Actually, I think all your theories are quite plausible. I always wondered why that strange looking muppet did that segment with Dr. Nobel Price... He never did make another appearance did he? He wasn't appealing to me as a kid at all. It'll be very interesting to see the real answer but you...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Well, probably the following clips could be on it with Vincent Twice-Vincent Twice being the host, I'm not sure of the actual titles but: * Frazzle (with the modified Chrissy from the alphabeats singing about Frazzle's emotions) * The Frog and the Ox cartoon. * Count hypnotizes Ernie and Bert...

Names of singers on these animated skits

I remember 2 animated clips that had some very good vocals on the background music; One featured a very short clip with 2 crows singing about being alive- the 2 crows sang about "a stone on the street, they don't need to eat, they don't breathe, they don't grow, they don't learn, they don't know...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I hated that music too. The cartoon looked like the Monty python show type of animation. I once read a suggestion at imdb.com that they should issue a Sesame Street Scariest Skits DVD, which I think is a very cool idea. This clip will definitely be in there.

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Youtube should post the creepy "Apple tree on top of an Ogre's head video", Man that was creepy to me as a kid! I think I'll still the jitters looking at it.

    You've GOT to remember this!

I remember those cool raps, I think they're still being played on Sesame Street today. I used to look forward to the "longer" raps ( you know, from the number 15 onward) because the beats were very awesome. But the "longest" rap I've seen was the number 19.

Very animated early clip about the Zoo

Yes! Thanks for your response, I always tried to remember the rest of those animals at the zoo. I could now play back that fantastic memory in my mind.

Very animated early clip about the Zoo

This has to be my earliest memory on Sesame Street; If I recall well, this animated clip featured certain animals in a zoo and it had an acapella song that carried the tune of "The 12 days of Christmas." It went something like "At the first cage at the zoo, this is what you see- 1 elephant...

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

Very cool It has been ages since I last saw that clip, for some reason the majority of the clips I look at on youtube "stops part-way". I rarely get to see the whole thing entirely.:(

    You've GOT to remember this!

Your guess is as good as mine. A little weird for me, especially the boy sounded when he stopped making that airplane noise- sounded like he got a pot on the head.
