I have a list on Amazon.com just to keep track of all the 80's cartoons coming out.
Garfield and Friends is def. well worth it. Everything is intact and volume 2 should be out on Dec. 7th which is a big DVD day {thank god WB decided to delay volume 2 of Batman: TAS and Superman}.
The show...
Muppet Babies being canceled was kind of the begining of the end for saturday morning cartoons. That year Ghostbusters and Pee Wee's Playhouse also went away.
Ninja turles was already on it's decline {and probably hung on too long for that matter} and Garfield was only on for another three...
Problem is that at this point, i dont know if that is as easy as it seems. The muppets have taken a lot of damage for the better part of a decade now. That's 10 years of some less than spectacular scripts, product lines, etc.
Muppet's Tonight was supposed to reintroduce the muppets to a new...
Personally I think it failed for several reasons.
First off, fans of the show would have to {as a whole} be into their 20's at this point. People in their 20's would want the show....not stuffed dolls.
In addition to that, only diehards will go out and spend 60 bucks for four dolls and 4...
That is the one real complaint i've seen with MCC is that Michael Cain was THE star. Nothing against Michael Cain, but it is afterall a muppet movie.
Personally i kinda miss the old muppet style. The story movies were exactly that, stories and MFS while enjoyable just never seemed to go...
Personally i think what makes them enjoyable is atmosphere. To me that is the single biggest quality in a good movie.
In christmas carol you felt like you were there, right down to the dark allies. Same with TI, you felt like you were lost on the island. Good movies have it, and all my...
cant answer all of em but
1. Not to my knowledge, they were movie specific characters.
5. Thats a result of the sequence when they visit his old boarding house/school and they see him age over the years.
6.Well the younger scooges were only in that part.
7. As far as i know they were...
Ok i have the dvd but for the life of me i cant remember what they edited out from the original. I had it taped from it's original airing but i lost the tape when i went to college.
And secondly why did they edit the movie? That's the first time i've ever heard of a movie being released in the...
trying being a fan of star trek, the kill ya anyway they can.
Like the original? Well it's 22 volumes.
Like the next generation? 100 bucks each season.
i dunno i'd still like to see a this is spinal tap approach to the electric mayhem. maybe they are trying to get a record label but cant because their retro style doesnt fit the pop rock mainstream.
Anyone else remember seeing the last episode for the first time? That feeling of just letting out a big sigh because it's like everything had come full circle.
I was watching a show today about famous last episodes and i couldnt help but think of Fraggle Rock. I just remember sitting there as...
Ya know that'd be pretty cool. Kinda in the style of "this is spinal tap". The electic mayhem! I dunno if it would make it as a theatrical release but it would certainly be a cool straight to video.
Yes thats it! Thanks, i just couldnt put it together and i didnt wanna embarass myself.
I like Animal. I think he kinda has a cult following. He's another one that has really taken off with a lot of college aged people. I cant emphasis that enough how a lot of college kids think the muppets...
YES! That's it, I just could not think of it.
I agree i really miss Flyod as well. In high school i had a theatre teacher who looked {and acted} just like him.
I miss her out of left field comments during big discussions.
"And i said look buddy, i dont take my clothes off for anyone, even if it is artistic"
she had another one but i just cant remember it off hand.
