See - it was just such a perfect script. I think a kid would laugh at the way Gonzo reacts even if they didn't really get the joke that's very clearly meant for adults.
Caper is, for me, the most logical way to follow up The Muppet Movie. It's the most purely fun of all the movies, and everyone is at the top of their game - ESPECIALLY Frank's Piggy, who was never better than in that movie.

"Never Before, Never Again" on the list of worst moments is a TERRIBLE choice, and QT's cameo in Oz should really be #1. Otherwise I think it's fairly spot on, although I'd have included the telethon on the best...
I still miss it dearly. I've always identified so strongly with Hurley, and what they did with him was one of the most beautiful outcomes ever for a TV character.
I just wanted to pop in and say I think Adventure Time is the cleverest show on television.
To follow up on this conversation... first thing I thought of was The Halloween Tree. What a great book. Never seen the TV special, always wanted to.
Good to see the Lost love. I really went through something fairly emotional with that show, especially the last episode. It was one of those powerhouses I didn't see coming and when it did, I was barely left intact.
I'm still excited about this film - it's one of those that, when announced and straight on through development, I have a really clear image of in my head. I like to picture it being in all black-and-white, with the main character being modeled after the Angel puppet from the Angel episode "Smile...
I just love it all. There's a couple of traditions that have developed in the last few years since I left for college that have become really dear to me...
-On Christmas Eve, my dad and I always go to Southpoint Mall - the last mall built in North Carolina, around eight years ago - about 8 in...
You know... I really can't stand The Big Bang Theory - in a strange bit of irony, I think it's only funny if you don't get the jokes - but I admire Parsons and the work he does on it. He makes this scene in the movie much funnier, and I'm glad he's in it.
I'm a giant fan of the bloopers from Emmet Otter. Also recently (finally!) watched the ones from the Christmas Carol DVD and lost it. My favorite is at 1:24:
"May I have his dinner?"
I have a lot, all of which were small elements that added up to me being the Muppet fan I am today.
-The earliest is probably Muppet Babies. I watched that show INCESSANTLY as a kid. A neighbor who babysat me had some of the videos, and I adored it. I haven't seen it in maybe sixteen years. I...
I actually think it's be marvelous if he was included. Imagine a featurette hosted by Walter where he interviews the Muppets. Lots of things like that.
It's amazing how much of this movie feels like it's speaking to me directly.
I've been attending and working at a Shakespeare camp in Staunton, VA for years. I was a camper from 2004 to 2008 (six sessions and plays in all), and I've been a counselor since 2010 now. I have made so many close...
Funny People is pretty great. I also, unabashedly, love 50 First Dates. I think the first 2/3rds are pretty weak sauce (enjoyable weak sauce, but still) - but that movie's ending was actually tremendous. Emotionally mature and smart.
