Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I recall him mentioning that he officially planned on retiring after the show's 50th, and wouldn't you know it? He managed to accomplish that phase!
Like most people, I knew he would eventually be at the point where he'd be ready for retirement, and I'm thoroughly amazed that he made it...
Well, you never know. Next year is the show's 50th anniversary, so maybe (JUST MAYBE) SW will pull out the big guns and...I'm sure you can imagine what I'm getting at. But we won't know until then.
And it's sad to think the video you posted asking people to stop requesting reuploading SS didn't help.
Interesting situations. Though I often wonder how Rohail gets access to all those full or partial episodes he constantly uploads. What does he give other people in return?
Well played, my...
I'm serious. We've had countless talks about how @Schfifty and @hooperfan constantly have to deal with all these ungrateful YouTubers breathing down their necks to upload obscure clips, or reupload clips that received copyright strikes from SW. Similarly, poor @D'Snowth gets pestered to...
We've already got info about one product that will be coming out, and I'm already super excited!!!! :)

I'm pretty sure we all have, so cut it out with your frequent vents about other people on YouTube being ungrateful and demanding- none of us like it anymore than you do, so I'd suggest you knock it off.
Considering how a lot of the original cast members have stated that Christmas Eve on Sesame Street is one of their favorite moments from the show's almost 50 year history, I think it would be neat if they could not only release a 40th anniversary edition of the DVD, but also include interviews...
Heads up: For anyone who uses Facebook and Instagram, you all should see the oh so lovely drawing someone at SW made in honor of Jim's birthday! :) :wisdom: :p :( :grouchy: :insatiable: :super:
Here are my top 3 favorites:
1. Ditto.
2. For.
3. Me. (though ironically enough it is the name of an actual Sesame song which I do consider to be a favorite of mine)
As far as the local networks go...obviously we don't know if they'll be involved, but I've been thinking: if ABC will have the rights to broadcast something, this would be a superb opportunity to re-air Out to Lunch, perhaps in honor of SW also having celebrating their 50th?
For anyone who doesn't visit The Muppet Mindset and/or ToughPigs religiously, it has been confirmed that next year there WILL be a 50th anniversary special airing on both HBO and PBS! We don't know the airdate or what the special will be about, but it's happening! I'm already plenty excited! :)
