Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
True, which reminds me: It would've been nice to get some closure on Fozzie, even though we know he'll be fine.
Agreed. He is just such a professional and so good-hearted I don't have an issue with it.
Agreed. I don't like how a lot of the characters who didn't have much to them other than one...
Yeah, but what they have done is bad.
You mean we are complaining about the puppets not looking "too perfect"? C'mon; I just get the impression that you'll accept any turd they lay in front of you.
How are we wrong?
"Beaver Fozzie" - Even Kermit's appalled
There is a member on here who...
Yes. The issue with the show is not that it's adult humor, but that it's toilet humor.
How can a conversation be like a van?
Okay, I know what you're saying.
They should keep the same concept but just make it more Muppety and less human-like.
I know. It was just total bleh.
I know. It is...
You are 100% right. Those guys didn't even have those things to their characteristics though, that's the worst part. :( The only pass I could give them on is Zoot because he never really had anything going for him other than the silence, mystery and occasional grumble. It was surreal to hear him...
Here's my whole issue: They're putting puppets in the role of humans. Puppets don't age, unless they really went all-in and created older-looking puppets, but then again, who wants to see puppets age? Imagine the current show in 2 seasons. What could they possibly be up to? How could they keep...
I'm smiling within the first 4 minutes. The Muppets seem nicer, Piggy seems more chill...
I like how Animal actually addresses Zoot by name. I don't think I've ever seen that before. It makes them seem more tight-nit.
I thought Zoot's cluelessness was genuinely funny. For some reason last...
Granted I haven't seen the episode yet, I think it's time to throw away all comparisons to the past. These creators clearly don't care about or respect the past of these characters.
Am I being too harsh? I mean, they aren't doing that bad of a job with the show, but the flaws, the flaws...
I know. For as many unnecessary figures as Palisades made, they should have a second normal Piggy.
Edit: I never even knew Glamour Piggy existed; that's the better one.
I mean, you obviously get the best bang for your buck with the Fozzie & Scooter pack. Robin, Bean Bunny and Camilla could all...
They are taking a lot of liberties (and generalizations) with these characters. I think they're aiming at the crowd that isn't as into the Muppets as we are but knows just enough, but I totally agree with you; it just doesn't feel right.
Jeez, I never even thought about it once...
The impression I got was that they were more like a kid with his pet mouse or something.
The more I think about, the more I could see it being a one-way crush (Bunsen on Beaker), but then why he would torture him is beyond me. He should be bringing...
"Hi Sam". That's close? 40 years and "Hi Sam" is the only interaction we've had between the two.
It's like the writers were just throwing darts at pictures of the Muppets and they're like "alright, let's make a new couple". It was gonna be either :flirt: or Yolanda, and they're just like "Oh...
