For me personally, I don't want to be critical about it but there's nothing I can really do if it's just not clicking with me. I'm willing to give it another rewatch and hope to enjoy it more.
On another note, it's kinda interesting how this is the first time that Pat Sajak has appeared in a...
It was an alright special. I'm glad Gonzo was placed in the main role and not Kermit, mostly because I don't think I could tolerate Vogel's awkward, nasally performance of the character outside of small doses. It was sorely missing Rizzo in the sidekick role, almost like the special was written...
I feel like Muppets Now was probably a disappointment but I also don't have the numbers to back it up. My guess is that Muppets: Live Another Day, if it had been made, would have been a far bigger hit with audiences. We've seen how well shows like WandaVision and Mandalorian have done. Live...
Though I'm not gay or bi, David was very attractive in the early seasons. He just had that cool energy to him.
I definitely had a crush on Gina growing up and I would have had a huge crush on Maria if I had been a kid in the 70s.
Matt Vogel is a very talented performer but I can't get behind his Kermit. At this point, I'm basically over it but I'm not going to pretend that his rendition of character doesn't sound super off.
Last Day was alright. It really did capture that back-to-school vibe perfectly. The stuff with Muffy and Emily was kinda grating but I really did enjoy Alex actually having a part in the show for once.
Don't think there's been a thread for this yet. Very sad to hear Norm passed away, even harder to believe he had cancer for 9 years and kept it a secret. RIP to an amazing comedian. I feel like this clip captures him best.
Gonzo has already worn women's clothing in a season 1 episode of Muppet Show, the very same show conservatives were defending from cancel culture back in February.
Agreed. Don't get me wrong, I do like how the memes have ingrained Arthur into internet culture and given it more popularity than it would have had otherwise, but the show is so much more than that.
That was 6 months ago, which is about 60 years in internet time. This is just more "culture war" nonsense, with the Muppets now playing defense against the conservative machine instead of being backed by them like they were in February during the content warning hysteria. Don't watch Muppet...
Maybe so but the moral of the episode doesn't change despite that. And to be honest, I was mainly referring to the comedy and overall writing of the series. The first 5-6 seasons can still make me laugh to this day.
It was already common knowledge among Arthur fans that season 25 would be the last but it still seems surreal to see it being widely reported and confirmed. The show hasn't been consistently good since the mid-2000s but I still don't know if I'm ready to see it go. It was a huge part of my...
