I loved it.
I think this is the greatest documentary I've ever seen on the man as he was known by his family and friends. Ron Howard and his team did a brilliant job. It was extensively researched. I think they did a great job with the interviews. They chose practically everyone who knew him...
I've been kind of hopping off and on with the site lately because of the loss of interest in some of the new Muppet properties. But I still appreciate what this forum has to offer. I've made quite a few friends out of the forum, and I will continue to give my assessment to what is going on with...
I grew up watching Mr. Rogers when I was a kid. It seemed like a nice escape from the stresses of grade school. It was like watching the screen and sorta thinking you were there, that you were visiting Fred's house (or, perhaps, the other way around?). But it had that persona of a best friend...
I haven't seen the second episode yet. But overall I think the most boring parts are either with Chef or Piggy. The first episode was definitely a trainwreck.
I have to say I liked the new Muppet Labs segment, especially once the pizza guy yells "Breadsticks" in slow motion, I think I started laughing through parts of the episode. I rather enjoyed that and Pepe's game show. That was probably the highlight of the show. Swedish Chef and Piggy still need...
Okay, just got done watching Episode 1.
And....remember that Uncle Deadly said something about "owning your flaws"? Yeah, I think after this one I think the team needs to own a LOT of them. Because in my opinion, the episode turned out to be like the Swedish Chef's plantain dish.
So let me...
Oh, I didn't know that. Well I guess Bunsen doesn't have to know everything. It would make more sense then. I just hope the Muppets return to form in some way, try not to rely too much on pop culture cliches. Don't get me wrong, I hope the show goes well. I'm just right now understandably...
I never said they shouldn't allow contemporary guest stars. They've always done that. What I'm STATING however is they're kinda trying too hard to change their image. The Muppets had always been a little unconventional to the mainstream crowd. But now it seems like they're trying to appease too...
Just the nature and tone of it. It feels like everything's being stretched into one small room. The original Muppet Show formatted in a more Vaudevillian style of comedy, much like what variety shows at the time were doing. That was the whole point of that show; to have Kermit try to run a...
*Long sigh* Okay, so I just saw the trailer to the new "Muppets Now", and boy was I glad about being reluctant. Don't get me wrong, I've been wanting some new Muppet content for years now; they need to get back in the groove somehow. But somehow, I think they're trying too hard to get "with it."...
