I was just watching a college basketball preview show with my friends and they reported that Whitney Houston had died. She was only 48. It's very sad; I was never the biggest fan of her music, but she sure had quite the voice. Her version of the national anthem is probably the second best of all time (first is Marvin Gaye's). No cause was reported yet, but she certainly had her problems with drugs. Hopefully her children are okay.

I was watching Star Wars with the kids and didn't catch this news report until I logged on around 8. Very tragic. Not surprised sadly.

I just got home from dinner with my dad and he turns on his computer and we found out that she'd died and then turned on the news to hear about it. It's just so sad.

I loved her music and I especially loved the song 'Could I Have This Kiss Forever' that was a duet with Enrique Iglesias and the fact that Whitney sang some Spanish on that song always made me feel special.

R.I.P. Whitney <3

:frown: I do believe it may have been from drugs (though don't quote me on that). She was such a beautiful singer, I loved it when she and Mariah Carey sang "When You Believe" for The Prince of Egypt (although the movie version was a bit better). May you rest in peace.
