Your Thoughts: Kermit and Miss Piggy on America's Got Talent

Was wondering... Since the Halloween special has been cancelled, maybe Steve is now working on the Fraggle Rock and Dark Crystal movies. Maybe these would be keeping him from doing the T.V. spots. Hope he is well. If anything I hope he and his family are fine.

Fraggle Rock isn't anywhere near shooting yet, it hasn't had the "go" to be made at all yet. The Dark Crystal movie is at least two years off from that even.

It's possible he could have been doing other Muppet stuff tho or had a previous engagement.

Yeah, they said Kermit was at the D23 convention. Maybe Steve was there for that. I think I'm just hoping for the best. That he was sick or had another engagement. Not that I want him to be sick. Just want to see him continue to do Kermit.

Yeah, DisneyPictures' Twitter feed, who provided the picture of the Muppets on the river boat, assured me that Kermit was there. I assumed asking if it was Steve wouldn't have really made a difference as they probably wouldn't know--but! It's very reassuring to me that both Kermit and Rizzo were there, I have to assume that Steve was there too.

I assumed asking if it was Steve wouldn't have really made a difference as they probably wouldn't know--but! It's very reassuring to me that both Kermit and Rizzo were there, I have to assume that Steve was there too.

Well that's good news. Hopefully it was just a one time thing due to a conflict of two appearances.

I'm sorry to bring this up, but wouldn't it just be Disney to do something to start a mini-stirup about "The Great Kermit Switch of 09" just to get some people talking? I'm reaching here, I know.

You know the longer it takes to get any kind of answer the more I think it is a replacement for Kermit. I was also watching the clip from D23 with the group. Kermit doesn't say a thing. Everyone else pretty much says something. Kermit says nothing.

Yes, but when he sang Rainbow Connection earlier in the video he sang. It's hard to get around Piggy, Pepe, and Gonzo talking a mile a minute.

Yeah, and that did sound like Steve. I'm just a bit worried. I've grown to love Steve as Kermit. I've met him few times. Really cool guy.

Yea but so many Muppets in that, i guarantee you that was looped when they sang because half the people Muppet waggling would have been junior wranglers etc.

Hopefully the actual Muppet presentation should make things clearer.
