i understand the whole bully thing. i mean, to tell the truth, in a way i'm kind of a bully myself. i have such a short temper, if someone says one thing to me that i dont like, my temper runs a little wild. i never hurt anyone physically, but i am a tad verbally abusive. but only if people i like that to me. and i've gotten myself into so much trouble becasuse of my temper. i hate when people critizise the way i do things. like teachers. it's horrible.
Well see, that's the thing about live. We've all bullied and we've all been bullied before. We've all taken advantage of and we've all been taken adventage of (Althouhgt you might have not meant or tried to). But it's just funny the way life balences itseld out like that, you know?

I'm sorry you all had to go through such bad times with unpleasant people.

As for me, I went back to work today and the girl just passes me by and gives me the silent treatment. She doesn't say hello to me or even smile at me, just one quick wave. I feel like such a horrible person for doing this to her.

I hope you don't let this prevent you from doing your best either. I get all types of weird talkative people at work, but the thing is - at a niche toy shop it's my job to entertain these people. However, I have lost many a sale due to a talkative passerby that won't allow for other potential customers to ask a question.

It's difficult to tell someone to be quiet without hurting their feelings. Sometimes you've just got to do what you need to do. Personally, I just try to smile at the chatterbox and say,"I'm sorry, excuse me, I've got to get back to work..." or, "I've got to help this customer, please excuse me for a minute."

But when it's a coworker at your desk...I just don't know. I think you did the right thing you could for the situation.

Forgive me, But it sounds like she has just found a new way to be a jerk to you.

Well, today I went and apologized to the girl for doing this to her and she said I shouldn't need to apologize. She realized that I have a right to my privacy and she respects that. Now she's smiling and saying hello to me again. I'm glad I made amends to her and things seem to be back to normal. Now I can sleep better tonight. Thank you all for listening and giving me advice during this rough time.

Thank you. She's started talking to me again. But at least she isn't asking me anymore personal questions. She was telling me she was in the mood for some German chocolate cake and I just listened to her while I was working. I accepted that she needs to talk. It's just the way she is.

Remember that talkative co-worker I had problems with? Well the other day, I heard her and my supervisor in another room and it sounded like they were having some kind of shouting match. Then later that day, she got transfered to another part of the building. It seemed like she was getting on everyone else's nerves too.

I would've liked to be her friend in the first place if she wasn't so nosy or critical. I'm just glad she's out of my office and I can have a peaceful mind again.
