Agreed. But then again, this show was geared towards Western audiences (because The Muppets were created mainly in North America), whereas the anime that's commandeered animation since then is largely geared towards the Japanese despite airing in the West.
Not quite. There hasn't been a "domination" of anime since 2006. Every single source is closing down... and other than 4Kid's 2 little recent attempts (Dino King and Yugioh 5D) there really isn't that much. of course, animation is suffering all over the map anyway..

TMNT final season opening Not so much for the music, but the fact the animation is reused clips of the show randomly interspersed with clips of the movie.
If there's one kind of opening I can't stand, it's complete reused footage. Disney at least had some new footage animated and mixed with show clips...
