I've lost the daily episodes of Mr. Rogers as well, I'm sorry to say. I think they will be doing the weekend showings, but it's obviously not quite the same.
Certainly not.

Technically it is, because the computer game it's based on racked up millions in sales and the theme song by Rockapella is the one most people equate with the fedora-wearing femme fatale.
Well, The Carmen franchise is one as a whole. And the show was just based on the popularity of the games as well as the cartoon series....

But it still was following after the popularity of the video games.
It started as a computer game, but then had a hit game show, a lackluster game show sequel, an emmy-winning cartoon series, and video games coming off the heels of all these things.

I know. I think the TV show brought it even more exposure and made it even more popular.

But if I had to choose between World or Time, I'd pick World more, because of the prize (anyone with a brain in their head would choose a round-trip to anywhere in the lower 48--now 50--states over a computer that would be liable to crash within months) and because of the more enjoyable format of the show. I mean, I may like history more than geography, but it was the interactions between the contestants, Rockapella, Greg, The Cheif, each and every informant (celebrity or otherwise), and even the backstage crew that made World what it was, whereas Time was--IMHO--trying to cash in on the growing digital age (as evidenced by how the villains were depicted, including The Lady in Red herself) and lacked the whimsical quality that World had.

Having said that, I just have one more thing to say...

Do it Rockapella! *the World theme plays*
