I don't know if it needs to be said, but it isn't meant as any kind of reference to the author. The design is for a Wolfman, and Marv is an every-man kind of name. I can't get into the specifics of the pitch, unfortunately, but one of the other characters is named "Gary Frankenstein." Just to give you a sense of the flavor of the piece.
