Ever since watching "Phantom of the Opera" a few years ago, I've had some daydreams about donning the mask and performing the role. It's a great play & I'd have a lot of fun singing those songs. I've also been wondering about who could play Christine. My favorite pick is probably Courteney Cox Arquette.

Yes, I know, but I can dream, can't I?

Seriously, I would recommend that play or movie to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. I haven't seen "Sweeny Todd" yet, but I will add it on the "to see someday" list!

Hmmm. The Phantom of the Opera. That's another great role.
Yes we can dream Sesameguy, but we may be able to play it in our own separate productions. We probably won't get Courteney for Christine though, but we may get to be Phantoms one day at least.

Kate. Maybe you could play Christine next to my Phantom. Well that is a fun dream at least isn't it?

And btw I strongly do recommend Sweeney Todd to you Sesameguy.

My dream role is Ophelia in Hamlet. Tragic, romantic, classic, and a little crazy..... Although the other night I had someone tell me I would make a marvelous Lady Macbeth. I have yet to read that play, but it trigued my interest.....

I always wanted to play Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors. I sang "Grow for Me" at an audition once, and the music director said I sounded very impressive singing that particular song.

I'd play Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream again in a heartbeat. I had so much fun in that role.

And I would love to play Snoopy in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. I was Schroeder (whom I wouldn't mind reprising, either), but Snoopy ROCKS!

If I ever have the chance to do The Producers, I'd want to play either Leo Bloom or Franz Liebkind.

Huh, I kind of wish I was a man...
Then I could play various roles.

Men have the funnest roles...I SWEAR! :O

But if I could join any play as a woman in a man's role...
I'd be Fyiero from Wicked. XD

I have a good singing voice.
I think I sound like Andrea Bocelli...scary, huh?

Well...I actually am a professional actor and have done several musicals. Sweeney Todd is not one of them though. I'm not even sure if I'd want to be in it regardless of my abilities. I think I'd just creep myself out.

By the way, Claudia...the same could be said for women's roles. There are times when I almost wish I could be a woman just to play a certain role. There are wonderful roles out there for women in musical theater and they have great songs too.

Yeah, there are times where I wish I was a guy in order to sing a certain song the way that the original artist does! So it works both ways.

Hmm... these are modern musicals, but I would love playing Glinda from Wicked (I've been told I do a pretty solid version of Popular), also the female character from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, because of the Here I Am song, which is SO much fun to sing.

As for older ones... I really wish I had what it takes to sing "Easy to be hard" from Hair. It's such a powerful song, both lyrically and melodically. I would doubt my abilities to do justice to the song.
