That's some good advice! That's partly why I chop up my goals into quarters. Who knows what the year will bring so some things may need adjusting - but not excuses, of course! Patience and better organizing my surroundings are the focus for the new year so far and that can be achieved!
That's a good idea about dividing up your goals! And yeah I also need to become better organized and you're right, that can be achieved!

Happy 2008 y'all.

My new years resolution is just to try more things and let my hair down a bit more. We're only young once and all that :stick_out_tongue:

Okay everyone. I figured it out. My new year's resolution is to practice speaking french on a regular basis. I am putting it in words so that I am accountable! Although the prospect scares me (I hate trying to speak it knowing that it's not quite right) I won't get better unless I try.

I think that's a good resolution; it's helpful and easier to actually accomplish (I mean, either you're speaking French regularly or you're not)!

Shoot, that's what's gonna get me, I put mine in writing. I mean, I could SAY it and it's fine because I could say "Oh I didn't say that" or "You must've misheard me" but I can't do that now cause I put it in WRITING! If I don't get a gf this year and all the other stuff I put on my list, I'm so screwed.

I have never made a New Years' Resolution
what I usually do for New Years instead is make a list of every mistake or thing I did poorly in the previous year, and then I burn the list.. it reminds me of everything that went wrong so hopefully I don't repeat the same mistakes

oh, and this year's list was shorter than usual, so I feel good about that!
