This month's been creeping me out (and that's not supposed to happen til October since Halloween is in October.)
insert dry laugh here.
All kidding aside, I've been having bad dreams of my mother dying or getting killed in a plane crash. My mother said to praythat I don't have any bad dreams (which I've done)This morning I had a dream that really freaked me out. (can't remember what it was, though.) My mom is leaving for NY tomorrow for a few days (this is in actuality.I've known about this for awhile) .I was so upset (& even though this sounds immature,I was hysterically crying.)I almost begged my mother to cancel her trip to NY. She's not,and thought I was jealous of the time she spends w/my baby niece (which I'm not!) She claimed I wasn't like this when my first niece was born (again ,I wasn't)
This afternoon I pieced it all together, and realized that when my (now) 7 year old niece was born,my dad was still alive and was here when Mom went up to help with the baby. As you (or most of you) know,my dad passed away in 2005.So if anything happened to my mom, both my parents would be gone! I still have my 2 brothers & my sister (which reminds me, I need to mention something about her.) but it's all in my subconscious.
Now...about my sister:
On Monday night she was admitted into the hospital because she couldn't breathe. (she was just getting over bronchitis) It's now Saturday night & no sign of her getting released yet. She's still feeling horrible.:frown: So could you send good thoughts (and prayers,if you want. I know some people are more religious than others,so I'm not forcing anyone.)
I'd appreciate it.
Thanks so much!
Love,
Kathy

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry to hear that you've been having such a hard time recently, Kath. :frown: You and your family are definitely in my thoughts and prayers.

I really hope your sister feels better soon. And I hope your mom's trip will be wonderful. I completely understand your worries, but I am sure she will be ok. And I really hope things start to look up for you very soon! (((HUGS)))

I wish you all the very best Kathy. I pray that your mother's trip goes with no troubles and that she does come back safely.
I also pray that your sister's health will recover and for peace and joy for you as well.

Oh Kathy (((big big BIG HUGS)))! I will definitely be praying for you and wishing your family well. I am sure everything will be just fine, but if you need anything while your mother is out of town, even if it's just to talk, email/PM me okay!

Thanks Caroline. It just scared the living daylights out of me. Sometimes I'm psychic with things. This better not be one of those times.

My prayers and good thoughts are with your family!

I know that kind of thing can be frightening sometimes, but I personally don't believe it's possible to predict when bad things will happen.

Thanks (((Erin)))This month has pretty much stunk for me. I've just been so scared! The nightmare (well..day-mare actually since I had it early this morning) scared me so much! It may sound immature (since I'm in my gulp...late 30s..gulp ) But I was hysterically crying & my mother was trying to calm me down. After I explained what happened,as I said in my beginning post,I wanted my mother to cancel her plans. She'll only be gone less than a week though.
As far as my sister goes,I can't drive. So I can't visit her in the hospital. But I'll be calling her every day.

That's perfectly okay. I read somewhere that nightmares are just the body's way of reacting to stress and anxiety. I mean, I was under some stress this past week, and I remember having some unpleasant dreams as a result.
But it seems that talking to people helps - so talk to us as much as you need; we'll be here.

(P.S.: in the dorms, there is a batch of bread pudding being made for you and your roommates now)

I know how you feel, I had a bad dream recently and I knew it was irrational, but it still deeply bothered me the whole day.
