If you get boomerang, the smurfs are on at 7 am. They show a mix of older and newer episodes.

I was thankful to get the final season of the Smurfs on foreign and homemade DVDs. It was the one where the Smurfs ended up traveling through time and trying to find their way back home. But the series ended before that could happen.

Sounds almost exactly like what went on with Garfield and friends. The episodes on the DVD are in half hour incriments, but we get twice as many shows, so it balanced out.
There is a difference, though. Certain segments from The Smurfs were repeated in various hour-long episodes, while segments from Garfied and Friends weren't. Also I have read at series writer Mark Evaniers website that although most episodes of Garfield were originally broadcast as hour-long episodes, they were all produced as seperate 30-minute episodes. The first season was originally broadcast as a half-hour show, and the last season had two half-hour shows (presumably with two seperate openings and closings) in the hour.

I know who that guy is. Its Dr. Slump from the "Dr. Slump" cartoons. I love that cartoon. I've only seen like half of the first epsiode on youtube but i would love to have all the books. I've tried to find them all Hastings and Books-A-Millions but they don't have them. I have all the Dragon Ball books and now working on the DBZ ones. I'm also looking at Rama 1/2 books too. I have the first season on DVD but can't ever find the second season.

But i can't wait for Smurfs myself. I saw this when i went to Earl's blog and he worte about it. I was glad to see the Smurfs coming out on DVD. That was another show i enjoyed as a kid growing up.
