I would like to know Marty!

Well Alex, the little plus sign reminds me of the cross that Jesus died on to forgive us for our sins. So having a "cross" appear next to my name as well as the names of those on my buddy list reminds me of how Jesus commanded us to show love for our neighbour as much as we do for ourselves.

And furthermore the modern English language has limited the meaning of the word neighbour to the people who live in the same street as you, but the Bible means to say that all other human beings worldwide are in effect your neighbours. And some of them are not easy to love but remembering God loves all people by the "cross" by their names my challenge is to endeavour to love others in a reflection of how God shares His love for me with all humanity.
