Hi one & all,
I got home from NY a couple of hours ago. Let me just say the trip was fabulous! First off,my family & I were going to see Beauty & the Beast on Broadway last Friday night. (which I.as well as my mom & sister) knew. But what we DIDN'T know was that my older brother rented a stretch limo for us to go in!WOW! And the show was awesome!I'd never been to a Broadway show (or in a stretch limo) before,so I enjoyed this experience big time!
Saturday was just an ordinary day. Bonded with both my nieces The baby's getting cuter than ever & I played some games w/my 7 yr. old niece. The kid's getting a bit fresh though & her dad caught her on it.So she was sent to her room for mouthing off to her stepmom and to me.I'll admit when she was in her room crying while her dad called her mom,I felt kind of sorry for her. What can I do though, right?
OK...next day was Sunday :my baby niece's christening day.She looked precious! Now before I continue with the story,I remember telling my mom that it was too bad that my
aunt/godmother couldn't be there.So,OK...we get to the church & there's a couple standing there.I politely said hello before I did a double take!IT WAS MY AUNT GODMOTHER & HER HUSBAND! My WHOLE family had tricked me that week! My mother had told me that my sis in law's cousins were staying w/my brother & sis in law when it was actually my aunt & stepuncle that'd be staying there! Not ONE of them mentioned a word that they were going to be there! Talk about SURPRISED!
Monday was just a regular day. Then came today. I really didn't want to come home, but unfortunately I had to. I kept my composure from NY until we were coming home from the airport here. That's when I lost it (and why I put "Home semi sweet home) I was crying about how distance rots, how I wanted to live in NY again, etc. I knew I'd see my nieces again and my family has lives of their own but it was still tough. My sister reassured me that she feels upset too when we leave NY.So I guess I'm not alone.
Thanks for reading this,guys.*smile*
