According to all of the English classes and course I've taken through-out my school days, I have been taught that the proper use is "okay" because "okay" is actually a word. I think people simply go "O.K." because it's shorter and abbreviated (like how a lot of people will abbreviated the titles of Muppet movies).

But yeah, "okay" is correct. In fact, it must be, because according to my Spanish II course, okay in Spanish is "oquie" or something like that.

I usually use OK, but sometimes it does sound incomplete.

I use "okay". Just using the two letters seems... gross to me. Like it should be pronounced "awhk" or something. Ugh.

I go midway and use "Oka" (pronounced: Oh-KAY) on MSN, "ok" in general typing, and "alright" in formal letters.

You're right on, Snowth. Although I always use "okay" unless I'm in a hurry or taking quick notes or text messages on the cell I will use "OK".

When I'm using a word to mean "suitable" or "adequate", I usually say "splendid". It makes me sound dapper.
