Still find it funny some people went nuts that they did Funky Town, and that was from the 70's. They could have sang it much earlier.
That's because everyone missed their singing I think, and it was the first time in the movie they went all out singing together .

Um, Vinny (their mom) DID wear clothes... she had like a plaid nightgown, and an apron over it.
He said that she looked like a chipmunk wish no clothes, nit that she actually did not were any. I think it's referring to how she was designed like an animal wish real features and not like a one with more human like ones like the chipmunks do.

I think that the Chipettes story should stay in line with the television shows.

And there is NOTHING wrong with that. Part of their appeal is to sing modern hits with their brand of Chipmunk twist.

Just no, "Shake your Laffy Taffy" or crap like that.
Amen to that!

She actually looked a lot like them, it is just when she had no clothing on she had the back stripe I think . Whenever the boys had no tops on, their backs did not have any markings...
The funny thing is I don't think we ever saw their bottoms enough to tell if they had tails or not, I guess they could be tucked in...

I think the Chipettes should be on scale with the Chipmunks. If they're already dressed when they're introduced, they could still use the "curves" just as long as they don't overdo it.
I like the story line from the episode that introduced them. The Chipettes were using the "Chipmunk" name when performing. Maybe that's how they could do it in the movie?

From what I understand as far as the plot for the sequel is concerned, The Chipmunks and The Chipettes are already acquainted, but they don't live in the same town this time for some reason - Alvin invites them to spend a weekend with them, which make Theodore nervous because he want to confess to Eleanor his feelings, but he's too shy too.

Which is odd because on the show, Theodore and Eleanor were the most open about their feelings for each other, Simon and Jeanette were the shy ones.

And Red, when was Vinny ever shown without clothes? Because I've seen both "A Chipmunk Reunion" and "Vinny's Visit" episodes, and she kept her clothes on in both.

I think it was in a flashback in one episode somewhere, it could just be my imagination though

I think I actually like the who story with Olivia and everything of how they came to be a musical group in the first place. But I don't know it that would take up have the movie to explain or not?

I don't think it might either.

Remember on the show, it's explained that The Chipmunks ended up with Dave because Vinny, their mother, had left them on the doorstep of his cabin in the forest; she knew he was good to the animals of the forest, and that particular winter was so cold and so harsh, they couldn't have possibly survived, hence why she left them with him. She came back for them, but saw how happy they were with him and all, she felt it best to leave them with him. That led to that episode where the go searching for her.

Then in the movie, it's explained that they still lived in the forest by themselves because their parents left to join a commune or something because they were hippies; the tree they lived in was chopped down at used as the annual Christmas tree at the record company Dave HOPED would he could do business with, and they stowed away in the basket of muffins he swiped on his way out.

Yeah, that is quite a different story form the show. But it still was effective in a way. A strange on all-be-it.
